What is the solution to getting rid of an ovarian
cyst that is sized 35.9ML? We discovered this during a scan and the feeling that surgery could be the only solution, is really disturbing.

I think that is less than 1cm, if so, are there drugs that could help?

Its an Hemorrhagic ovarian cyst

So u guys can't sacrifice 2 minutes for a depressed soul, all u could do is to strike for months over selfish interests.
Now I understand why u have to be handled with iron hand by FG.

what prompted the person concerned to do a pelvic scan in the first instance? Are there other symptoms like abdomino-pelvic pain, etc? If you are sure that the cyst is solitary and less than 1cm then surgical intervention might not be needed .Symptomatic/conservative management might just be sufficient for now.A specialist in the field of gynaecology will be of help to you.We are not smiling at the moment so pardon us wink

Thanks a lot for sparing some time... A little pain by the left side prompted her to go to the hospital and she was advised to go for scanning, the doc only suggested a gynecologist and that was all.

Typical nigerian. Just because no doctor responded immediately, you resorted to insults. Is this the type of people the nigerian doctor is striving to protect? I really do pity the nigerian doctor. His patient only looks for him when he (the patient) has a problem but doesn't care if he (the doctor) is human with human problems. Very tragic indeed.

Just when we taught we had quenched the fire, you decided to add some diesel.
That is what happen everywhere, not only in naija. Patients look for docs, bcs they have health challenges. Its normal. Just as docs goes to the bank only because of transactions. What other strings do you want patients to attach?

I may agree with you when you say there are no strings attached but would you say that when you are looking for a favor? Still on your "no strings attached" principle, nobody owes you anything. If you understand that, then you should know that it's hypocrisy insulting the person whom you claim there are no strings attached because he failed to address your concern. You guys should learn to be appreciative whether you have your way or not.

My dear I am a consultant but not a gynaecologist. There is no shortcut to good medical care. Asking for advice on a faceless forum like NL is begging for trouble. Go and see a gynaecologist IMMEDIATELY. Haemorrhage in any growth is not a good sign. Stop looking for shortcuts. Channel that money for recharge cards or some other thing to see a competent gynaecologist who has spent his/her whole life tackling problems similar to yours. Just my own humble advice.
