Book I. Fifi's Little Pieces of Shard There are 14 of us. 14 out of a 1378. It feels like being awakened from a deep slumber. Just 14. The rest... Who knew what became of them? We can only guess. Assume. No-one asks lest one pays the price of the unknown. We learnt. We learnt through others what it means to obey the laws of nature. The eloquent among us put it this way: To us, Their split guts taught... Their blood inked the books... Punctuated words, phrases, clauses... Their pain taught us law. Their pain, we saw. We are broken. All 14 of us. But no matter, we had each other. We are family. That's all that matters. All that matters. We are the selected ones. |
