I've been thinking about this for a very long time. I'm 18 and i used to say to myself that i'll only have a gf when i'm 21. Please can anyone tell me what the ideal age to have a gf or bf is? Thanks for ur replies...

Being ready and matured to handle one. It is also not a bad idea that you gave yourself a target. However, decent relationships are very costly to keep. It does not necessarily include money; vital things such as self respect, ability to cope with someone who likely has different views, and most importantly, the ability to look out for someone who is not you.
Just like someone mentioned above, it is indeed relative but I 'd recommend that you take you time.

@OP. Having girlfriend/boyfriend is a grievious sin in the sight of God. Having sex or any romantic relationship with somebody who is not your wife/husband is a serious crime before our Creator, unto whom is our final return. So, don't be deceived or cajouled into fornication. Even if you eventually get married to the person you commit the evil with, you may not be forgiven by God! So, act wisely. Remain patient. It's not how far but, how well. To have a gf @18 is the issue but, to stick with them... and to follow the pros n con in it.,. @op why do u want to get gf? Is it bcoz other are get bf/gf? If yes you are just wasting much of ya time, think of other better thing and do them wisely, i rest my case here....

Believe it or not, "relationships" take away from you more than they add. Most times, it's just an excuse for guys n girls to get sex n girls to live above their height, waste valuable time, feel among and so on. You were shocked to see sm1 talk of emotional trauma but uhm, thats exactly wha you're gonna sign up 4(especially at your age) coupled with paranoia, obsession and when the butterfly feeling is gone? Resentment toward the said gf/bf then u break up n look 4 a replacement and the cycle continues.

Bottomline, you too damn young! Read your books and build your career now, if you're a Christian, it's time to fasten that seat belt. Think of ways to be a change in your environment and so on...

But hey! No teacher like experience rii? So do wha u want, this is just my opinion(and u asked 4 it).

To be frank, i don't think i can do all these. I'm actually scared of heart-breaks and break-ups and also i'm someone who is focus and i don't want to get distracted from my academics because i want to make my parents proud!!
But i think i'm just obsessed on having one because some of my friends(girls especially) ask me about her.

....My advise, set ur priorities straight....make a list, perhaps a scale of preference or wants....you ll see that it is the last thing you wanna do now...

Thanks bro. I'm a 200L pharmacy student at CMUL and i know education is priority but the girl i'm having crush on is my classmate. We are very good friends and i get nervous whenever she's around. I have a feeling that i'll keep distracting myself if i don't open up to her. What do you suggest i do??

I don't see any reason why you should be any nervous. Just be yourself. You don't have to make it all official. Just be always there for her and make her very fond of you. If she likes you, she'll be all over you with time and you let her know how you feel. Focus on building a strong friendship now, but don't get friend zoned (flirt with her sometimes). Tell her really personal things about you and be her confidant..and every other thing adds up with time.

Sfop being a hypocritical prude, how is having a gf/bf evil in the eyes of God, not everyone has sex you know, and I don't know about your God but the God I serve is a loving and forgiving God.
