Point of correction; by the grace of God i am a skilled professional, working an 8hr job in one of the largest mobile phone companies in the world.

Why waste time/space saying all this crap. None of your input thus far become that if a "skilled" professional. Skilled in what? Blind obedience?

donnie:

I have too much rank for that.

What the hell is this? Explain yourself with your arguments, not with "rank". That (rank) is the last refuge of the coward.

donnie:

How many of those ministers of God have you approached for medical reports? I am certain if u approach the healing school the right way, u'd get quite a lot as one of the compulsory requirements for registering at the healing school is a provision of a medical report.

I repeat, this thread is not from the Spirit of Christ.

I asked you whether it was wrong for these claims to be investigated and you evaded, brandishing your "rank". C'mon, use you mind for one.

SirJohn:

Many have wondered and would like to know the truth about healing and miracle claims from the healing school of Christ Embassy. I’d like say a few things about the genuineness of these miracles which have sparked endless questions. What I’m about to say may sound shocking to you but it is the truth. it is a first hand account of my experience at the healing school.

What you see on loveworld videos/TV, especially miracle testimonies no matter how believable they appear, are simply what Pastor Chris and his TV crew wants you to see. The truth is that a larger number of people including his pastors, partners and even you hardly ever know what goes on behind the camera scenes.

I was at healing school May 2008 session and the discoveries I made blew my mind and shook the very foundation of my faith. I spent a total of 4 weeks at the healing (it had two sessions and each ran for two weeks) this period of time at the healing school afforded me the opportunity to observe certain unusual happenings which I must reveal.

I have been a member and a consistent financial partner of the ministry since 2004. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome had been my role model, mentor, prophet and father. I have followed his teachings and doctrines to the letter so much that you couldn't talk with me for 10 Min's without knowing I was his follower.
I had taken someone who was wheelchair bound as a result of spinal cord injury to the Healing school with hope that Pastor Chris would minister to him at the end of the session (at least this is what I was made to believe from several healing school publications) but this was not to be, and the events that followed were shocking and beyond my imagination.

After the first session, there was to be a healing service where the students having received faith to be healed, were put on the healing line to be ministered to by Pastor Chris. This was where my questions started. The reason is that not only did we not make it to the healing line but several other folks with obvious physical disabilities were also not put on the healing line. I made efforts to find out the criteria for the selection that was made; this was what I found out:
I discovered that all wheelchair cases taken to the healing line for ministration were people whose conditions were not such that they couldn't stand or walk. in other words, the people you see popping out of wheelchairs  in those videos can both previously stand and walk. They are carefully selected through a process I will discuss later.

Secondly, to my utter amazement, I also discovered that several other people whom I had seen on different occasions walking around the hall unaided and without any sign of pain or disability during the two weeks session were put on wheelchairs or made to lie on stretchers during this healing service.
After much waiting, the “Man of God” walks in touching every one on the healing line and then proceeds to the wheelchair section; with one touch here and there he instructs them to get up “and they do” wild shouts of excitement reverberated across the auditorium as partners and pastors who have been specially invited to witness the miracles jumped for joy. I felt like sinking through the solid ground, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Once in a while I would utter a word of prayer, I’d say: “Lord please don’t let this be what I think”

I remember a particular man who came for that session; he had been involved in a motor accident which left him with a spinal injury. He had difficulty walking normally because he couldn’t bend both knees while walking (I had seen him walking) he came with a neck guard and two crutches to support himself properly while walking. I observed that two days after coming to the healing school, he started exercising his faith by moving around without the neck guard and crutches, that was how he moved around for two weeks. During the healing service, I was shocked to see the same man with his neck guard and crutches which he hadn't used for two weeks. Pastor Chris prayed for him and took the neck guard off as though it was a big deal, the congregation applauded and stood to their feet as he went on to take the crutches from the man; he then asked the man to walk. The man obviously walked but not any better than he had walked for two weeks without Pastor Chris praying for him.

After the service, as the partners left the hall, the students and the “healed” were asked to wait behind. I observed that one of the two ladies who got out of the wheelchair half an hour ago quietly sat back in her wheelchair with a pale look on her face, the people who brought her all the way from Benin didn't seem like they had seen a miracle; this puzzled me more. The borrowed wheelchairs were returned to the real owners as I looked with great surprise.

Please see the link below:
http://www.christembassyhealingschool.org/new/images/pdf/August2008.pdf
the lady in page 14 (in blue jacket) is the one I'm refering to in the last paragraph. She could both stand and walk before the ministration by Pastor Chris.

The young man in page 15 is reported to have been "unable to walk without a walking frame" yet I had seen him on many ocassions before the healing service walk around without that frame.

The woman in page 16 did not even come to the healing school with a wheelchair; the wheelchair you see does not belong to her

To be continued…

This is a complete twaddle from a good-for nothing alarmist!!!

In other words, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a fraud and all the miracles he has performed were arranged??
Tell that to the birds. . . . . . .Letz even assume those miracles were dodgy, who are you to question it?
Are u God or someone seeking attention by bashing a minister of God??
Buncha jobless twits.

My dear skilled proffessional I don't see how your intervention here like those of many before you has helped Christ embassy. It has only diminished that gathering in the eyes of objective thinkers from what we have been told on this thread.Rather than address the issues you digressed completely off track and conveniently sought refuge in your spirit talk.

I am not at war with CE.I get inspired watching the big time American ministers on TBN. I don't see why their success cannot be replicated here in Nigeria. They just don't need to falsify or stage manage miracles. Idahosa did that for a long time, but in the end he dumped it. His ministry grew even more thereafter. If anything stage managed miracles offends the senses.

These observations will help CE as a ministry if they will learn from it and stop the charade.

I saw this thread from its very first page but refused to contribute as i have seen so much of such threads on nairaland since 2005. They havent changed a thing except of course for the many who have not tasted of that true annointing and power from on high. . .these (unfortunately) are made to think that that glory which we see the scriptures is unobtainable today.

That is the purpose of these theads. . .  to deny the power of God.
it dosnt matter how religious they appear, they are not from the Spirit of God.
One thing i do when i hear an allegation such as this is to look at the life of the critics or accusers; for if their lives do not portray that power and glory as it should rightly be, i discard such allegations as thrash. . . null and void!

If not, how can you explain a christian trying tooth and nail to bring another down? My friends, that is evil, no matter how you look at it. Forget about whether the miracles are true of not, you and i know they are and have stood the test of time. Testimonies abound in Nigeria and all over the world to the glory of God. So now, what is  your purpose for this thread? Are those miracles too big for God to perform? Is it impossible or is it a sin to say to the lame 'rise and walk' and have him do just that? Are you trying to cast doubt on the testimonies of God or you are simply envious?

I know that at the healing school we have bed and stretchers to meet the needs of those  invalid who will need them as some  may not always travel distances with these things. Plus that, there are trained doctors and medical practitioners on hand to attend to the needs of these people. Tell me, is it strange to have wheel chairs and stretchers around in a place that attends to the needs of thousands of sick people?
Besides there are some who come, get healed and refuse to take their wheel chairs and crutches along with them. These could add to the number available for use at the healing school.

That will be too cheap and regretable a thing to do. We cannot even imagine such. It will suprise you, but i havent even bothered to look at the pictures. I know that some of these people are even carried on the back of someone to the healing school. I have worked there myself as a volunteer. I have led the sick by hand to their seats to hear the Word. . . and hearing these allegtions, i am close to tears, not of self pity but, i think i can hear what God is saying: don't worry my children, they have not said those things against you but against me. It will take a crooked mind to think up such falsehood. Dignitories, captains of industry, ministers of the gospel have all visited the healing school of CEC. To come up with stories such as this is to insult their intelligence.

I have by the grace of God commanded the healing power of God on behalf of some sick folk and seen instant results.
i even think it is much easier to command a miracle in Jesus name than to fake one. Those of us who have tasted that power from on high can tell you. It is freely given and is abundantly supplied as the Spirit wills. Once you are in his plan and purpose, anything is possible! You shall decree a thing and it shall be established.

To my fellow believers in Christ, those of you who have something to loose if you speak profanity, be strong and courageous, do not be afraid of their revellings for they are bread for us. Only let your converstaion be as becometh saints so that when they speak of you as evil doers, they will be liars.

Hi donnie,
Be it known unto you that the purpose of this thread is to expose the falsehood going on at the Christ Embassy healing school. It has nothing to do with efficacy of Gods power; I do believe in miracles, however not the type Pastor Chris would have us believe he performs. The Healing School of CE does not represent Gods power on earth therefore exposing its falsehood does not equal denying Gods power.

How has the miracles in the Healing school stood the test of time if I may ask? the last time I checked, CE miracles have been the most controversial of any ministry I have come to know. The so called healed are hidden from external press, taking photograph in CE crusades and meetings are forbidden, there are no substantial documented proof of any miracles. how does all this translate to 'standing the test of time'?

You did say that you have worked as a volunteer at the healing school, right? kindly answer these questions:
Are you a healing school staff?
Are you a pastor?
Are you an outreach fellowship coordinator?
Are you a deacon?
Are you a member of 'The Haven'?
If the answer to these questions is 'NO', then you were nothing more than one of the several stooges they use as ushers in the healing school who are unaware of the goings on there. I'm sure you were just a nobody there unless you are one of the names I mentioned in one of my posts as the major conspirators.

Yes I have seen dignitaries at the healing school; one Chief Michael Ibr* husband to Mrs Cecilia Ibr* who is sick of Parkinson's Disease was at the May session of the healing school. He spent 4 weeks there and was not any better. His status earned him 'ticket' to the healing line, he was ministered to by Pastor Chris, left the healing school in the same condition (if not worse) and is currently back to his medical treatment. Now hows that for a great miracle?

I laughed when read what you said about the wheelchairs in the healing school. This is what I have to say to that:
On day one (orientation Day) of the Healing Healing school May session, Pastor Deola who is the director of the Healing School claimed that the healing school had lots of abandoned wheelchairs from people who were healed and didn't need them anymore. well, in all 4 weeks in the Healing, I didn't see a single wheelchair owned by the healing school, instead they kept taking wheelchairs from students whenever they needed any. Please take time to read my initial posts, I have said all this before.

Apart from the fact that i know someone who Died after being healed of Cancer

by Pastor Chris, the person even threw a Thanksgiving party and all, leaving behind now, young children

I will be more inclined to believe what Sir John is saying

Because what he has presented, he has done it well

While Hubreality, Pepeye and the Skilled Professional, Donnie

Who cant construct Sentences to save his life, have presented their cases

in an appalling way, akin to Defenders of Pastor Chris

I just pray that they see the Reality soon enough to save their necks and everyone else they can

Gosh,

The name Christian is already in the Sewer, dont know if i still want to be called that.

Sir John, will you be in IPPC 2008? I will prefer your prayers to these horrible critics in this thread. Are you a believer filled with the Spirit that raised Jesus from death? Then walk in Love and Faith. If God advocates His word through Pastor Chris, who am I to defend him or CEC.
Anyway it's a choice. Mark this day, time will tell.

My dear, CEC brethren are my brethren, they have been my brethren for the past five years. however, the truth has to be told. My efforts to bring this issue to the top hierarchy has been met with strong resistance. Nobody was bold to take the step with me even when they were convinced about the issue.
I know that someday Pastor Chris will be humbled to respond to these truths that have constantly been brought to his face.
The same thing happened and is still happening to Pastor Benny Hinn; he has been forced several times to respond to sit down interviews in which he has apologized for wrong actions, statements, prophecies, false miracle claims etc
I agree with you, time will surely tell

Yes I will be in IPPC 2008, at least I qualified grin grin grin

you are in serious need of a total WORD check. This flippant use of "christianese" to avoid having to confront ugly truths is despicable.

If you are TRULY a believer filled with the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead then you shld have read this -

1 Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world

Fraud is not the way God "advocates" his Word . . . and i'm sure you're aware that "miracles" are not the true test of God's backing of a ministry. Pharaoh's servants could perform magic too.

I do not agree with you(Poster) that those miracles were stage managed. Look, I repeat, this thread is inspired by the devil, you have made several false claims. Pastor Chris has prsonally responded to press men in 2005 when the entire PFN were very hot on him about his association with Prophet T.B Joshua and all their claims which couldn't stand the test of time due to their false foundations respectively. Anyway, it may interest you to check out this press interview with Pastor Chris in that regard:
http://www.dossiers/pastor-chris-oyakhilome20050117-interview.htm

Infact, he did observe that all these false allegations are bunch of distractions. A man of God I do respect in the person of Bishop David Oyedepo said " If you mind your opposition, you lose your position."  The working of Miracles are no big deal to one with  faith, the Word Power and the Name of Jesus.

I have personally benefited a lot Spiritually learning under his teachings. I became a member of Christ Embassy eight months after watching his teachings on LoveWord Christian Network three years ago. Atleast, he does not use similar mediums other miniters use like; Olive oil(Anointing oil), Holy Water,  Hanky etc. Just the greater exploration on the Word Power. Boy, forget Na envy, strife, hate and unbelief dey at work in you. Lay them aside, because it will not stand the test of time but will only make people see whom you're with time despite you're sayings and writeups, but exactly what you're made up in your heart.

Very interesting! Miracles are taking place everywhere the Word of God is preached and demonstrated with the Power of the Holy Ghost. It's not just a history book, but the Power of God unto salvation to them that believe! Hallelujah!!!

Basically the healing ministry has always faced serious persecutions and if you ‘re involved in it u better be ready to catch some flak!

From people who profess to know God, the Pharisees and sadducees didn’t criticize themselves; they criticized Jesus because of His miracles. They got envious of Him and tried to discredit Him. Apparently it’s the same old story

Suffice it to say people criticize because they don’t understand the healing ministry or the Power of God
Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by Pepeye(f): 8:40pm On Nov 19, 2008
The worth of a man is measured by the greatness of his adversaries. You measure a man’s importance by the power of his resistance; however the man that God will use will definitely collide with powerful forces becos the message in his mouth will be resisted

The prophets of old were seriously persecuted, the apostles were striped naked, flogged and stoned, some were even killed, but they rejoiced in all these becos they made God’s Word effective and obeyed His voice

The Lord Jesus Christ was also rejected and wasn’t received by His own, so goes to the great men of God.

The pure in heart is the one who sees God in everything. He lives on the positive side of life. Believes the best of everyone and everything he sees not engrossed in negative sides, doesn’t have a warped sense of thinking not engulfed with bitterness nor prone to casting aspersions

The one who isn’t pure in heart however, is “Mr Suspicious”, he sees things from the negative perspective and is a perpetual fault finder such folks always have something negative to say about others becos they don’t look at them with the eyes of the Spirit; they don’t see them thru God’s eyes

They’re so well versed in casting stones; always compounding issues. They live in acute sense of unbelief angry

That’s unlike the bro who is pure in heart; he looks at people from the perspective of the spirit and sees God in them. Inother words sees the beauty of God in them

matt 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”

They act like Jesus who didn’t condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8:3-11) albeit Jesus didn’t agree with the woman’s lifestyle but he saw the good in her.

See the God- side of life always, for that’s the way Jesus is!

You may have been attending church services religiously, but the truth is religion won’t save you, you sure were a mixed multitude in our midst who rejected manna

There re those who think the days of miracles are over and they tell people the same, destroying any hope they might have in Christ

Without mincing words the bible says Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. Why would you think Jesus cannot do the same miracle he did several years ago?

Sad to know that some people want to see Jesus Christ on the street face to face doing miracles before they believe, but don't forget that He made a promise before He left that He will send us a comforter (Holy Spirit) and has actually done that.

People use such vehement 'miracles are fake" lines only as a defense mechanism for their lack of knowledge

When your life is dominated by your experiences, assumptions or human opinions’, you ‘ll never see God in the light of His Word; you will only interpret Him in the light of your experiences

they didnt criticize Jesus because of "miracles" . . . the pharisees were well accustomed to miracles from the times of Joshua, Moses, Elijah, Elisha . . . rather they accused Jesus of - blasphemy (making Himself equal with God).
Where they EVER "criticized Jesus for miracles it was for performing them on the sabbath day.

- That is psychology and is not found anywhere in your bible.

- The bible says "not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but God showeth mercy". How then is the measure of a man's importance determined by the power of his resistance? What of brother Stephen who was stoned to death? What of brother James who was beheaded for the gospel's sake? Where they men of unimportance because they had little resistance?
Elijah fled from Jezebel . . . was he unimportant?

2. A christian is not to "believe the best of everyone", if not Christ would not have called the pharisees a generation of vipers neither would he have told us to try every spirit.

Speaking against iniquity, just like John the Baptist did is not equivalent to unbelief. We indeed believe the bible, we just dont believe your pastor represents Christ.

Pepeye:

That’s unlike the bro who is pure in heart; he looks at people from the perspective of the spirit and sees God in them. Inother words sees the beauty of God in them

God looked at the heart of David's brothers . . . He didnt see inner beauty in their.

Pepeye:

matt 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”

They act like Jesus who didn’t condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8:3-11) albeit Jesus didn’t agree with the woman’s lifestyle but he saw the good in her.

See the God- side of life always, for that’s the way Jesus is!

The woman caught in adultery confessed her sin and was repentant . . . for indeed the bible says ONLY THOSE can find mercy. Those who perpetuate lies against the Holy Ghost while hiding under "touch not my anointed" are not covered under your mountain of incomprehensible distortion of the bible.

Aunty pepeye, you need to read your bible.

Pepeye:

@ AKO

Far be it from me to criticize, make any form of analytic judgment on any man or children of God, I leave that for the accuser of the brethren; that’s his work lol

That’s what I call spiritual wisdom sorry to disappoint you

Aunty pepeye, you have not been studying. The job of the body of Christ is to be vigilant and watchful. Was Brother Paul an accuser of the brethren when he criticized Peter? Was he an accuser of the brethren when he reprimanded John Mark? Was he an accuser of the brethren when he turned over hymeneuas to the devil for heresy?

Was Peter an accuser of the brethren when he rightly judged Ananias and Saphira for lying against the Holy Ghost?

Sorry ma, you have not exhibited "spiritual wisdom" but carnal knowledge cloaked in religious hypocrisy.

There re those who think the days of miracles are over and they tell people the same, destroying any hope they might have in Christ

Without mincing words the bible says Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. Why would you think Jesus cannot do the same miracle he did several years ago?

Aunty pepeye, let me remind you again for the 10th time. The issue is not unbelief in miracles, we believe that Christ still heals today . . . the problem is simple - Are the "miracles" in your church staged?

@ david

Whats your purpose of living? Whats that thing that you ve set your mind upon to accomplish?

To expose my Pastor?

Lack of purpose in life has led to frustration in many lives

Beyond all this, Pastor Chris journey in life has been in one direction only;

Upward and Forward

Samuel looked at Eliab and said - surely the Lord's anointed is before me . . . you know the rest of the story . . . for the Lord had rejected him.

The bible says - by their fruits ye shall know them. When secrecy and suspicion becomes the haven of "miracles" then Christ is no longer there. It has nothing to do with my life's focus.

When your heart is dominated by your senses, it will be difficult to see the visions of God as you search the scriptures. This is why someone may have read the whole bible,

without understanding a thing

Attend church services without being affected by the word of God; he’s not inspired in anyway; no motivation whatsoever, Just becos he didn’t see anything

Spiritual wisdom is not evident in their lives becos they lack understanding of Spiritual things (1Corin 3-1)

this is nothing but religious gymnastics that profit little. Are the "miracles" at CEC staged or not?

They aren’t staged. I equally do the miracles myself.yeah! I lay hands on the sick and they recover. You can’t stay long enough with Pastor and don’t get a rub off of that anointing, I ‘m not only the recipient of the miracles’ I do it !!

Mark 16:17-18 TLB “And those who believe, will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them”

Thank God for the auction of the Spirit, I do not know how it feels to be sick anymore, those are one of the numerous rights we have in Christ Isaiah 33-24 And the inhabitant will not say “I am sick”

If you’re a product of Pastor Chris, you ll know you aren’t ordinary, there is something about our hands, your hands aren’t just for holding and carrying things …God made them to transmit His Power.

Pastor teaches us to do it yourself, we do not wait for him nor any man so Its not only Pastor Chris who does the miracle, a thousand times no, we all are, every true CEC member lives in the miraculous , we operate in the supernatural

We have divine abilities working in us…I’m not talking about Teknons in the house but the Huios of God, we lay hands on the sick and they recover

That’s the kind of life He’s called us to live, Remember the words of Jesus “ ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you (acts 1-cool that power is the dynamic ability to cause changes
