Fg To Ban Apple Products In Nigeria After Ceo, Tim Cook Comes Out As Gay by FNNEWS: 10:28am On Oct 31, 2014
This week, CEO of Apple Inc, Tim Cook in a press conference announced to the public his sexual orientation, leading to a hot topic that has been discussed severally all around the world.

However, not all the feedback from this announcement has been positive, as news reaching FNN seems to indicate that the federal government of Nigeria, as well as a few other African countries, is set to place a ban on the sale or usage of all Apple products within the country, with prosecution and a sentence of up to 14 years imprisonment as the penalty for disobedience.

Speaking to an FNN correspondent, an FG spokesperson explained that the government would not go back on its stance on homosexuality and same-sex marriage, and also explained that the reason the penalty was 14 years is that purchasing or using goods made by such a company is tantamount to encouraging and practising such unlawful acts, and as such would carry the full punishment accorded by law.

It is not yet clear whether this law will be passed, or the reaction of the general public to these reports. More as this story develops.
