Talk of inferiority complex. Some of the civil servants will be ordered to line up the streets to bid farewell to the August visitor. When I lived in Nigeria and Babangida visited my hometown, Uyo, the city was cloaked with excitement. Generally, citizens regard the visit of the president to their hometown as a milestone that would yield fruits of development. Unfortunately, that sometimes may be far from the truth. I doubt if the masses will benefit directly from his visit.

From someone who just arrived from AKS, I hear roads have been rebuilt and buildings refurbished. I hope it's because they were needed and not cos the prez was in town.

As for ALSCON, from the time it was built, I hear the place has done nothing but pollute the area further and women in the area "work" for the white men who would work there. What we need as far as that and other projects is less govt and more private involvement.

I want personal remind Uncle Shege that the ALSCON Project have a very great significance to the people of Eket Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State. I want to suggest a reconsideration over certain decisions for the course of sustainable development of our beloved country Nigeria

why dont you make that known to the people that are in charge of that particular section,could be your minister/commisioner of/for environment and manufacturing organisation of nigeria or even to ALSCON

Akwa is one of the Oil rich state among others and surpose to be well developed from the MILLION DOLLARS mineral its produce. But it has been Neglected for long time and even turn to be a popular laughing charater state people among Nigerian. Sometime real Critic might think if a Blessed people like Calabarian and Akwaibomite deserve this. this humble and nonOver-ambitiuos people. some one sometime says time would tell.
