Nigeria is a Commonwealth country with a large Population and so are entitled to c reate new words and or add words to the English lexicon

WOULD is definitely not the PAST TENSE of WILL

It is the CONDITIONAL tense used to indicate CONDITIONALITY

e.g Would you marry your mother? ( condition= if she was not your matter)
I would lend you the money but.............( condition = I am broke or I need to use the money for something etc)

If I did not go to school I would have become a bandit.............


and so on
