For people concerned with events in Ogun State you would know the political tussle shifted from just a PDP vs APC thing with the reborn of the defunct Social Democratic Party. A party that rose to correct the wrongs and undoings of Ibikunle Amosun. Social Democratic Party ably led by Aremo Olusegun Osoba is not a party of vendetta, pretence to the people, inflation of government project funds to suit the pockets of the Governor and his immediate persons. With cardinal agendas which includes harnessing the awaiting potential of Olokola deep sea port to create jobs and make Ogun State a goto place besides Lagos. Amosun passed of the opportunity to develop this project because his arch-enemy Ex Governor Gbenga Daniel made moves already onthe project and also percentage percentage issues. LOL. Amosun would distract the Ogun populace with grandiose projects on roads. Expanding four lanes to six n all that political abracadabra. A lot have fallen for it forgetting that Abeokuta is not the only town in Ogun State. Back to the basics, SDP flagged off today people. There were no incumbent governors or president to show off just the Deputy Governor of Ogun State that Amosun successfully deprived of the rights of his office. The Governor prevented the use of the M.K.O Abiola Stadium so the Ake Palace Ground was used instead. Brethren and Sisters of it was still filled to capacity. No payment for mobilization happened and people came. We don't have the strength of PDP and APC yet but in Ogun State Amosun is having sleepless nights because of SDP. SDP...Progress!!!

It's obvious you're a fan of the SDP. Your write was manageable until the part where you insinuated that the governor fostered developments only in Abeokuta. It's either you're oblivious of what's going on in other parts of the state or are just feigning oblivion.

Cool guys but can't win. They offered Dimeji Bankole the gubernatorial ticket and he turned it down cos he knew his chances. The elections is between SIA and GNI.

If Dimeji had joined SDP, they might have mattered.

Labor also offered the ticket to Dimeji too but he also refused

Unlike your stereotyped thinking that everyone is trying to fill their pockets in politics some of us have lived with partisans n poor people to knw better. Even if you give a mad man a hoe he wld rake some to his side but we must remember the people of Ogun too unlike Amosun's methods. Well its only in Abeokuta that you would see the fine roads n street lights and many other places are filled with abandoned road projects the Governor has hijacked their funds to face his 2nd term bid. Bankole was one of the first persons invited ny Osoba to make the party grow but he chose to wait and duel it out with Buruji sponsored candidate and lost. He then came when all the posts av been filled. Who's fault?? If he had come earlier I have no doubt he wld be SDP gubernatorial candidate. Their are other ways n positions to absorb him or his people so all is not lost. We are together

Up until January 4th, SDP were still trying to convince him not the other way round. Dimeji knew the chances so he stepped back.

i believe ogun governorship is too close to call

APC, PDP and SDP seem be equal on ground. whoever wins will be by close margins
