The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation ( APCPCO) , on Wednesday , warned that nothing untoward should happen to its leaders, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State . The party also said President Goodluck Jonathan would be held liable if anything untoward happens to either of them . The party raised the alarm in response to the alleged deployment of troops around the premises of Tinubu and Okorocha on Tuesday. However , the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) , in a response to the allegation of intimidation of the two APC members , denied it and accused the APC leaders of hallucination . Femi Fani -Kayode , Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, in responding to questions by newsmen on the issue, said nothing of such happened . He also waved as inconsequential the endorsement of the APC presidential candidate , Muhammadu Buhari, by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The APC , in a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of its campaign organisation , Garba Shehu , said deployment of troops around the residences of Tinubu and Okorocha for yet- to - be disclosed reasons was unacceptable and a breach of their fundamental human rights. The statement said the deployment of soldiers around the residences of opposition figures without any explanation amounts to intimidation and provocation, which the APC leadership views seriously . “This Rambo -style intimidation of opposition figures is not acceptable, and this crude show of power should not take place under any democratically elected government, ” Shehu said . Shehu warned that , as the Commander - in- Chief , President Jonathan would be held personally liable because he has the overall responsibility for the deployment of troops across the country. The APC said condemned this abuse of power by the President in order to intimidate the opposition members . The campaign organisation reminded the President that the will of the people is superior to a standing army . I am A student. I live in Owerri, withn a 10 mins drive frm Govt house ow. I support Rochas 2015 and Goodluck 2015. But, am likely to cast a protest vote for GMB Cause i feel PDP wants to disenfranchise me...i believe they are hoarding not only my pvc but are using the federal might to intimidate my best governor.
