Gov.okorocha Urges INEC To Declare Imo Result. by chacoonder(m): 2:05am On Apr 15, 2015
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare the result of Saturday’s election, saying that he won the election by a landslide. Okorocha, in a broadcast to the people of the state on Tuesday, vehemently maintained that no political party, person or group of persons could upturn the election result. He regretted that the opposition parties had refused to accept defeat like President Goodluck Jonathan. He said that his victory could only be delayed but not denied. Okorocha, who wondered why his elections always ended in supplementary, said that he and his supporters were ready for the re-run election in some wards in the Isu and Oru-East Local Government areas of the state. “We are ready for the re-run anytime,” he said. He equally noted that he was leading with over 70,000 votes from the results so far announced and that the registered voters in wards where results had yet to be announced are not up to 50,000. “Even if the entire votes are given to the Peoples Democratic Party, I am still winning by over 20,000 votes. So why the delay of announcing the result?” he queried. Okorocha wondered why the PDP organised a protest on Monday at its secretariat which he said was aimed at deceiving the people of the state. He thanked Imo people for their display of maturity, urging them to remain calm.
INEC, Pls enough is enough, declare the result of this state.. biko.

He should relax and not jump the gun. By the way, why is the opposition not accepting results? What is INEC policy regarding results? Sooner or later, the result will be announced.

Okorocha should relax and let INEC do their job as they deem it fit as required by the law...

I think INEC is considering a re-run of the gubernatorial election in IMO, based on the chunk of canceled votes in some parts of the state...

That is what he's actual concerned about, that even if the result of the re run election is in favour of his opposition and going by the no of the registered voters in those communities, he'll still be leading them with at least 20000 votes. That is why he has been urging INEC to release the result since on Monday.

Well you can't be certain and INEC should be seen as fair to all candidates involved in the election...
