It's a shame!

I see people just bring issue out of no issue, what we want is a nation for all with all things working for a common Nigeria. If this works, it will definately affect the exchange rate. Nigeria does not necessarily has to make one naira to one dollar before things improveM

You must be very daft for sharing a computer voice generated audio recording and passing it off as a campaign statement by GMB. Why cant sore losers like you just take pride in silence at ur defeat dan raising corpses that are dead n buried?

Even d vanguard article didnt quite Buhari in context, it was a statement madr in relation to his speech in order to sell newspaper, Vanguard newspaper to be precise. And even if d naira was equal to a dollar do u think it will be to Nigeria's benefit?

If you dont av sumfin to write about, go and study a book on economics and read the topic patticularly "Economies of Scale".... And then you can come back and sound a tard interesting... propagandist

I watched the video and I did not hear Buhari saying anything like that Infact his exact quote was conveniently removed from the video. Pls read vanguard and see that the quote of Buhari which was his exact word never mentioned making dollar equal to naira. The headlines would have had a quotation mark if that was his exact words

See them, running from pillar to post to defend their boss. Just as y'all made life a living hell for Jonathan's government...we intend to return the favour in equal measure. This is just the beginning. Y'all have no idea of what we have planned. I just hope that this government would also take it in its chin as Jonathan's did. We would be brutal. Very very brutal.
To what end? To satisfy your swollen ego? When you say "y'all" and "we", you do realize this favours no one, don't you? Even saying you will be very brutal to frustrate the efforts the president might make to make everyone's (yourself inclusive) life better is sadly depressing at best. And before you jump on that bandwagon, I was never for the insults GEJ got. I believe we have a duty to support our president whoever he/she may be, after all, in case of an economic/political crisis, everyone, not just people who voted for him will be affected.

Now my question is, when Vanguard and Co came up with the 'lies', why didn't they deny it then? Or, are they just becoming aware of the story? Even if he didn't, his silence showed he approved of it.
Probably the author was working for them to deceive the gullible. Probably the author was working for PDP to make APC seem like a silly party to the knowledgeable. Either way, whether you like it or not they chose not to. And while I believe they should have done so earlier, it's better late than never. If they had waited till he was sworn-in, you lot will still see a whole lot of wrong in that.

The APC shouldn't take millions of people for granted, we cannot be fooled. He rode on his promises to become President and he must fulfil each and everyone of them.
He rode on promises; some feasible, some not. If he can achieve anything close to 60% promise fulfilment rate, then I think he will go down as the best democratically elected president Nigeria ever had (you might think I'm silly, but considering the average promise fulfillment rate of Nigerian politicians, you shouldn't fault me on this)

N/B: I'm no APC supporter/apologist. I only support a better, greater Nigeria

We have allowed politicians to fool us all the time, let us devise a means of checking those that are performing from those that are not performing. For me, I have make my check list which will be my bench mark for GMB. This check list will come into effect on May 29, 2015 and I will use it compare our economy in the next four years to where my vote should go. I encourage everyone to make his or her own check list so that these politicians will stop deceiving us.
There is my check list as @ May, 2015.
1. $1 = N197
2. Petrol price = N87
3. Crude oil price = $52/barrel
4. 1 KWH of power = N13.8 (Fixed charge = N750/month)
5. Rice = N9800/bag
6. Unemployment rate = 68%
7. Life span = 45 years
8. Rent: 2 bedroom flat = N300,000 per year.
9. Minimum wage = N18,000
10. Flight ticket local = N28,000
11. Bus: Lagos to PH = N4,000

By 2019, I will check where we are and this will determine where my vote will go. I encourage us to make similar check list because a politician will always be a politician.

I’ll make Naira equal in value to dollar, says Buhari

Owerri – The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office. Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri. “It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said. He urged the people to vote for APC, noting that he would ensure that corruption was tackled headlong if elected. Earlier, Gov Rochas Okorocha had urged APC supporters to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, noting that a vote for Buhari without support to others at the state would amount to nothing. Okorocha said Buhari would address the problem of electricity, bring back the kidnapped Chibok girls and promote industrial growth. He said that Buhari was loved by the people in the region and urged them to elect him and other APC candidates during the March 28 and April 11 general elections. Former governor of Anambra, Mr Chinwoke Mbadinuju and former Minister of Education, Chinwe Obaji, were formally welcomed to the APC at the rally. The rally was attended by APC supporters from Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu and Imo. (NAN) -
