Since during my cathetism classes, I've always heard of this not eating one hour before communion!
Is it real or just a myth? who made the rule? because I haven't seen it In the Bible.
What is the reason or aim for the rule?

everything you guys be like where is it in the Bible...where is it in the bible that mentioned your surname? does that mean God should not recognize you...Jesus gave the priest power to make rules. that's Catholic liturgy.

But I tell you it is much more saver and better to stay and stick with the Bible. Staying outside the Bible is what dragged Christianity to mere level of religion today!

that's why he gave us the Holy spirit which is our director...we don't do anything canal, we work with the Holy spirit.

I cannot but agree more if and only if we allow the Holy Spirit to do the needful and not relegate Him to the background and starts impersonifying Him.

Now did bible tell u to postrate when greeting ur elders because its against God commandment. Which states dat we must not bow b4 any thing, image in air, under ground or heaven. The time limit is a discipline/church rule not a doctrine or dogma.The time limit can be changed by the church if it deems it fit.In fact,the time limit used to be longer - (fasting from midnight)and the eastern Orthodox still practice this including sexual relation abstinence between couples night before.
As a previous poster mentioned,it's all in preparation for receiving Christ.
As for not been explicit in the bible,remember that it is the church that is the pillar and foundation of truth(1 tim 3:15).It decides how we are to live our lives as Christians, the rules, doctrines etc. as Jesus gave the founding Apostles the power to bind and loose.
