What is developed here ?

Only Akwa Ibom comes close to the word developed city, yet with many hungry residents.

What is Yenagoa and Asaba doing on this list? Ughelli and Eket are far better than Yenagoa... Asaba is an eye sore, Sapele is far better... I have spent quality time in all these places so I speak with authority... Asaba and Yenagoa are huge mess.... especially the latter

Asaba is not a city by any standard Please... Tho I agree with your position that Delta has more developed major towns... I think only Lagos and Anambra can boast of same.

for nigerian standard they are o.k. have you been to the south west? have you been to the north? I am a deltan and although am not impressed with the level of development knowing how much delta generates for the nation and in turn gets as allocation, but when i served in south west i was shocked. i used to think only the north had problem of infrastructure, Nigeria as a country is in soup! all regions have failed woefully. so on this note, these little settlements can pass for a city.

Ya lagos , I disagree with anambara .... but this post is About South South , so I give it to Delta.

Rivers state should be the least because they can only boast of port Harcourt , outside P.h city and obio Akpor , the remaining 21 l.g.a's are under developed.

Did you guys notice that while most states are practically one city state, delta has at least four standard urban cities that can pass for a state capital.
guy you must be high... I am proudly from Delta... don't give us that crap...

Do you even know what it means by city? Apart from Asaba and probably warri... there is no city in delta state again... if you call sapele a city, you must be dreaming... sapele don't have what it takes to be a city. Or na Ugheli or abraka or Oghara or where now...

The south south especially delta state has been maginalized. The source of the nation's wealth is a shame to be in such state. Our government has not helped issues at all. Cities in south south are ought to compete with major cities in Africa n the world but what we see is all crap...

South South have been denied their treasure and development since the days of Lord Lugard... I pray thinhs change soon...

i have not been to yenagoa. but asaba beats many south west cities, especially in the average standard of living. Warri is bigger than asaba and have more infrastrucutures but unfortunately i can't wait to leave warri for asaba because the average regular house of the middle class in asaba is a mansion in warri. also down here(in warri) people build houses the yoruba style, like every inch of the land must be covered , as such you have a slum bearing the title of a city.

now I get you? Na Yenagoa suprise me pass... with the large money going to that small state, everywhere ought to be a city standard but I don't know what the govt do with the money... Even GEJ could not raise the standard of the place with his presidential influence...

Thank God for Ibori my ex- governor, if not for him, delta state would have been a mess... He single handedly transform Oghara and even asaba to what is it today...

Do you know the criteria of a city? Look at the dualized road in Asaba, the settlement pattern, the nature of the houses built in the environment, the kind of recreation facilities in the place...

My guy talk truth now... it is far better than sapele...

nxt time read and understand d topic bf u spill trash. The topic says towns/cities. Sapele here is considered as a big town. The truth is delta state has more big towns than any state ib ss. E.g, sapele, oghara, ughelli, abraka, agbor, these towns are very populated with over 150k. Infrastructuarl development in sapele is mininmum but d oda places are hitting up. Far better than ph dat is over crowded and centralized.
