I am not setting out to make excuses, aportion blame, castigate or praise anybody. This piece is as a result of a careful analysis of the events that played out in the past few days culminating in the election of leaders of the 8th National Assembly.
There is no doubt that Asiwaju had his favourites and worked asidiously for their emergency, his reasons i dont personalky know but its safe to conjecture that he wants to up his stakes in govetnment by having his allies in strategic places, how this might have helped him in anyway is not totally clear because politicians often break ranks and part with their backers or sponsors, that is an issue for another discourse.
For the first time in a long while(maybe age and health is actually catching up with him) the Jagaban made a political miscalculation of momumental proportions, the full effect of this miscalculation to his political relevance/value as well as to the APC government of PMB is yet to be fully understood.
After a careful analysis, it became evident that what played out on the floor of NASS could have been avoided by Tinubu, if only he was a bit more calculative.
Heres how, Tinubu could have come out Tuesday morning extenting hands of fellowship to Saraki(though a bitter pill, but u gotta stoop to conquer) accept him as Senate President, negotiate Lawan for deputy and Akume as Senate Leader bacause it was obvious to even a toddler that PDP was ready to play ball with Saraki, by doing this, he would have cut off PDP from the leadership of the house as well as cause some friction between them and Saraki.
Stage 2, apply pressure on Saraki to ensure that the PDP get little or no significant committee chairmanship, this will further alienate the PDP from Saraki.
Stage 3, woo over some PDP members with promises of a better showing and other incentives...
Finally, bid your time till when Saraki is not arround and Lawan is presiding and use your block alongside PDP moles to impeach him.
This may NEVER EVER happen because the chance has been blown.
However, i dont expect Jagaban to go down without a fight, how he hopes to bounce back i cant fathom but i will sure doff my hat for him if he can but i seriously have my doubts

POSTSCRIPT: The APC as a party can yet rally and reach some compromise with Saraki(the man of the moment) and still grab the available slots but it will be damn difficult to unseat, Ekwerenmadu. Gbaja can still land House Leader too.

They are all rogues and after there pocket. Only the masses will bear the brunt. Lawan, saraki, gbaja and akume are all the same.

The only way APC can avert what is coming to them is to work the new leadership of NASS.

Some of you don't really know what played out at NASS. Atiku Abubakar ensured that what happened did happen in the Senate with the help of the PDP Senators.

It is time Buhari jettisons the idea of Amaechi as the SGF or he has succeeded in handing over his Government to 'the enemies within'. His best bet is Ogbonnaya Onu, who shall be a stabilising force.

There is already a gang-up against Buhari, in a bid to control him. Tinubu too is not working for Buhari. He is rather working to cage Buhari.

You are right.

Npdp and Tinubu camps are working to cage Buhari.

Onu is his best and safest bet.

I think Okorocha has another candidate though.

Tinubu couldn't have done anything to affect the outcome of yesterday's election in as much as there is no unity in the APC camp. If Tinubu switch support to Saraki, PDP will simply reach out to Lawan and assure him of his support. All PDP needs is one ambitious and dissenting voice in the APC camp. PDP is a very strong and united minority in the senate, without the 59 APC members uniting and speaking with just ONE voice, PDP will continue to dominate and provide direction in this 8th senate.

There is nothing inexperience can do in the field that required experience. Pdp has 16 yrs of experience and Tinubu plus Buhari has none. No motion in that house can get 2/3 majority except pdp says so. It's a new dawn for pdp.

Are you for real ?, so what happened with the formation of PDP & the events of March 28 & 14th of April??.. You guys play too much.. cheesy

Don't let the event of yesterday fool you, that was a minor hiccup that ministerial list & SGF /COS appointment will definitely diffuse.

The PDP has no "new dawn" anywhere, the party is an abyss where they'll be for te forseable future.

Atiku Abubakar has 2019 plans & knows its only in PDP that he can realise it unfortunately it will remain a dream cos even if Baba is not willing to run then , Kwankwanso & El rufai are there. Atiku will not be president of a united nigeria & you can take that to the bank.

Three lessons I grabbed from yesterday's show :
Never underrate anyone: friends and foe alike.
Every human regardless of religious, political affiliation would betray anyone, anything for " personal interest, aspirations or goals"
Experience counts!!!

Sorry for yesterday's losers, more to come, I swear cheesy
