hahahahahahaha i thought the GEJ led adminstration said it wont be possible until 2017, they must have been feeding Jonathan with the wrong information, these refineries have always been working, they use the refineries to refine their own crude and sell it to back to marketers with subsidy still being paid on it, No wonder Buhari said subsidy is a scam, you can imagine the federal govt hasnt even pay them or said anything and see as oil is flowing .

I guess GEJ had a good mind he isnt just strong enough to rule this country

Finally, the moribund refineries are going to be operational. I hope they aren't going to work for some months and go back to the old state. The management needs to be scrutinized regularly. It is made up of annoying and incompetent people, I guess.

I dont think this news should be turned into another GEJ vs PMB achievement war. The good thing is that they have been revived. It is obvious that it couldnt have been done between the time Buhari resumed office and now. I am aware that the committees to effect the Turn Around were established close to 2yrs ago and I know people who were on that committee. However, I am sure they could have finished the job long before now if they were given the necessary support from the Presidency.

Although unconfirmed, the magnitude of corruption made it possible for Marketers to refine crude oil in Nigeria, round trip, and still benefit from subsidy payment

You are a bloody liar without conscience. Where were you when GEJ removed fuel subsidy in 2012 and some brainwashed people kicked against the policy, that it was anti-masses?

I know some blind, foolish and idiotic mind will ascribe this unprecedented success in refineries to GEJ. Under whose watch was the refineries built? The refineries have been moribund since the time immemorial. PDP rule for the past 16 years has been devastating. Thank God for the advent of change...sai baba!

The spokesperson of the Nigeria National Petroleum
Corporation, NNPC, Mr Ohi Alegbe says that
Nigeria's four refineries - two in Port Harcourt, one
in Kaduna and the other one in Warri will resume
production next month.
“The refineries at Warri, Port Harcourt and Kaduna
will resume next month after a successful turn-
around-maintenance (overhaul) of their facilities.
The turn-around-maintenance has been on for some
time
. We did not just want to make any noise about
it. The refineries will start production as soon as
they have delivery of crude oil for refining,” . Amen!

This refineries have been workin since, we were just made to believe that they have been moribund all the while. The #fearofbaba made them open it before they start sanctioning NNPC and discovers that we have been buyin product refined in our own refineries as foreign fuel and sold to us at international price with over bloated subsidy.

The TAM have been delayed for dumb ass reasons since Yar'Adua died.

They didn't start the TAM until Oct 2014, 'cause elections were coming up in Feb 2015.

They said TAM would take 18 months ( to be completed in April 2016).

Questions for you:

Why are they all completed 10 months ahead of schedule?

Why would TAM maintenance in 2015 take 18 months, when it took just 5 months to get Warri refinery back online in 2000, when it was affected by fire?

Ask Jonathan why the refineries refused to function during his tenure, you will get the answer to your querysmiley
and it did not occur to you that the refinery might be under revitalization before GEJ left?

So you seriously think buhari who don't even have a cabinet fixed refinery within 16 days?

You disappoint me with your way of thought!

mr man, if ur GEJ had been the one responsible for the TAM, I'm sure we won't hear word on newspaper and I would have voted for him again, he was just plain clueless. He never sponsored any TAM. He never wanted our refineries to work, that's why the PIB was not passed until he was about been evicted

Funny coincidence.

The refineries were built when Buhari was in government over 30yrs ago.

They went comatose and semi dead yrs after he left govt.

And now, he is back as president......lo and behold the refineries are about to resurrect from the dead.

If buhari isn't a sign of good things for Nigeria, I don't knw what is.

Haters go and kiss thunder and lightening

Quit emphasizing things you know little about.

They told us TAM would cost so much to undertake, and only new ones would do -- it only cost N99B (after 'egunje') . . . but they prioritized buying jets.

They told us it takes 2 years or more to undertake -- TAM takes just a few months or weeks.

They said replacement hardware would take some while to sought and get into the country -- they had them in containers at Onne port long time ago.

Jonathan's conniving and incompetence ruined this country.

The epileptic refineries is the major reason:
why the Naira is so weak
fuel is so expensive
there is no stable electricity
we have bad roads, and little or no tangible infrastructural development
inflation eats up your income and more . . .

If you didn't benefit from the intentional redundancy of our refineries in terms of fuel subsidy money and the like, and you 'r still getting GEJ's back, then we really have to dig deep into the dictionary to find a label for you.

Gbam!!!! IF anyone after reading the above is still trying to say GEJ worked or was working then that individual's case is beyond redemption.

Taaa! Are you a refinery worker or a depot representative? Stop talking what you don't know. GEJ starved the refineries crude oil for more than a year and the plants had to be shut down pending when crude is made available. Warri refinery just received crude oil about two days ago, but the plants which had been in comma would have to be overhauled before production can start.

Odeh! Even if Gej spent another 20yrs your refineries would still not have worked. His greed from the benefits of importing fuel will never let him use the refineries. The refineries were never bad obviously, we have only been dealing with wickedness. Get it straight into your tiny blocked-head.

Great news! GEJ really worked for Nigeria. If the four refineries start to work as said then Diezani really worked real hard as she used to say. Kudos to GEJ. he did well. Somebody will say, the people have now seat up because of Bab go slow and no direction. far from it. Diezani has said before that the TAM is on going.

Fear made the refineries to be ready from their never ending repairs before. Fear is a weapon GEJ never had.
