I have registered for both as I was undecided and a bit lazy. Not I want to start taking lectures in January. I think my mind tilts towards ACCA as the concepts are quite strategic and can enable better business decision making. ICAN has this "pass at all costs mentality" feel to it.

I got ACCA exemptions but I want to start from Scratch as I had a few problems in F5 as I didn't do F2. I also want to properly shape my foundation in Accounting so I can properly get the concepts n make better decisions. Gunning for a role in Cooperate Finance in the long run.

@Haibe - Are you a student in Synergy. Need to know the prices for f1 to f4 lectures . Get at me bro. Pm or something.

I'm good bro

You do not need to start again. Studying for ACCA exams could be a nightmare. You can study paper F2 on your own. You don't have to stress yourself on something you can easily avoid

Just read the relevant Knowledge level papers on your own. No need to actually sit for the exams. The most important thing is that you have a good knowledge of management accounting before sitting for f5 for example . All the best

Sure a lot of people do this. You just need to work extra hard. You will be fine dont worry, and the lsbf videos would really be of help. I would however like that you at least take lecture for paper f5.

No not my final diet

The ifrs 9 question wasn't even really in a current issue format.. i expected that they will be testing criticisms of ias 39 in detail, changes in hedge effectiveness criterias and the implications, practical benefits of using an ECL model rather than ILM.. The question was more like the industry questions where u give advises on treatments, except the discussions on general and simplified approach.
