Your idea is great and all. But for you to truly do meaningful work it has to solve a specific problem(s). Hence some questions, answered sequentially, can save you the headache of barking up a wrong tree.

1. Do consumers recognize that they have the problem you are trying to solve?

2. If there was a solution for that problem, would they buy it?

3. Would they buy it from me?

4. Can I build a solution for that problem?

The common tendency of product development is to skip straight to the fourth question and build a solution before confirming that customers have the problem. Confirm first, then second, then the third, before you talk of building.
