2. Where's your Dad?
Imagine reading these two ads while in a speeding car. Chances are that you will only capture the bold words and the images only. You read the first one that asks “Where’s Daddy?” You also notice the distressed mother and daughter. Just then, you get your answer – Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club. I'm sure you will end up laughing all the way to your destination. The billboard industry is massive. In order to create an effective billboard, you need to be smart, not just clever. You also need to show your stuff, not say it. If you have to say it, include six words or less.

3. The Heart Issues
Talk about two ends of a spectrum. One ad raises awareness for heart disease. It even directs its audience to its website. Most likely, the website contains the many causes of heart disease. One of these causes is probably high amounts of fat and cholesterol in the blood. On the other hand, the other ad motivates people to buy a fatty sandwich that is likely to give them heart disease at some point. Just humorous! Apart from contracting heart disease, eating unhealthy foods can also contributes to high blood pressure, depression, high cholesterol, acne, shortness of breath and even cancer.

4. The Plunging Airplane
Turkish Airlines should have thought twice before placing an ad of a plane at a falling angle. It is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey and the fourth largest airline serving 261 destinations. It was established in 1993 and has amassed a fleet size of 269 airplanes since then. It also has a cargo division that operates nine cargo airplanes serving a whooping 47 destinations. Among its fleet are the Airbus A340-300, the Boeing 777-300ER, the Boeing 737-900ER, the Airbus A321-200 and the Embraer 190. However, a falling plane is a big no no, Turkish Airlines.

5. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh
One publication carried a story about a man plunging to his death. The story was about a man dying after a botched stunt. He fell head first from a 40 foot building. This is not amusing in any way. However, the publication thought it wise to include an ad below the ad that read “Aaaaaaahhhhh”. You will laugh yourself silly when you realize it. Other examples of hilariously placed ads on stories include one published by The Slate titled ‘Open Mouthed Wonder: Was MouthAction Always Normal’ and right beside it is a picture of a young boy with his mouth wide open.

6. Racism, Hate or What?
On the one hand, you have a proud American born in the Philippines. On the other hand, you have the movie Straw Dogs with the tagline – “Don’t Let them In.” Combining these two ads results in a hilarious implied meaning; that of not letting in foreigners from the Philippines or any other country into America. We are glad it is not the case. Just another side-splittingly placed ad. Racism is long gone in most parts of the world. Back in the day, racism was gruesome. The South African apartheid was signified by signboards all over the country warning white people of natives.

7. The Not-so-Sexy Derriere.
It has always been said that white underwear can easily betray you. Well, the placement of this ad did betray the advertisers. Even the tagline ‘Mmm…fabulous’ could not exonerate it from the disgusting patch of mud that looks like an unexplainable waste that comes out of our bodies. Luckily, the plastic material of the banner can be cleaned. But who has the time to do that? Just hilarious! Some cool facts about the butt: (1) It is the largest muscle in your body (2) Kim Kardashian did not get implants. She actually proved this on one special episode of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians show.

8. Pointing A Gun At A Child.
Really, people! Pointing a gun at a kid is the most offensive thing you could ever do right after child trafficking. The left ad advertises a gun show. The other ad advertises an Aborted.com ad. Thus far, no problem. However, the images in the two ads will leave you rolling on the floor laughing. The gun ad has an image pointing right in the face of an innocent child. Other senseless things a person can do to a child include denying them an ample standard of living, disallowing them to attend school, refusing them the right to play, denying them the right to make decisions and forcing them into child pornography and prostitution. At least the ad doesn’t do these things…

9. You Don't Wanna Be Prodding Him There.
This ad looks awesome. Think about it – a cool footballer on a taxi. It can’t get any better. However, good luck as you try to get into it from this door. Most men will call another cab right away. The thought of touching another man’s 100% all-beef thermometer in order to enter a taxi is just creepy. However, we bet most ladies will not have a hard time opening the door. The taxi advertising market is huge. In the US alone, the taxi industry is an $11 billion a year industry.

10. The Starbucks Van Door.
Starbucks never imagined this scenario would happen when their van’s door was opened. The ‘Sucks’ word is just hilarious. Starbucks is huge. It is believed to have added two new stores on a daily basis since inception in 1987. Today, it has 21,536 shops worldwide. It employs 182,000 people and partners and has revenues in excess of $14.89 billion per year. In addition to selling beverages, some of their stores also sell pre-packaged food items. Starbucks has managed to create a very strong and loyal customer base. In a given month, 20% of their customers visit a Starbucks store 16 times on average.

11. Yahoo 404.
Yahoo is one of the most recognizable search engines in the world. The 404 error is also the most identifiable errors on the web. It pops up whenever you search for a webpage on the net but the server cannot locate it. It usually pops up as “404 Not Found”. Now, unless Yahoo was intending to have some fun, this was a totally unfortunate ad placement. Despite this hiccup, Yahoo! is still a successful company. It employs over 12,200 people and has annual revenues in excess of $4 billion.

12. And this one The Giant Thirst Ad.
OK, this could mean many things to different people. However, the carrot would appear as a phallic symbol to most given the woman’s body posture. What’s even worse is the tagline below the carrot. That’s got to leave you in stitches when you realize that the woman actually looks like she is asking the question. On the far right is a Sweatzone logo. Need we say more? This ad placement is totally unfortunate but hilarious. In addition, it is common knowledge that sex sells. Companies who have used sex in their advertisement banners include PETA, Dentyne Ice, and Nissan.
