I’m sorry to burst your bubbles because I’m here to talk about a very serious issue that is fast destroying the image of not just Africans but the world as a whole. This new money making scheme is none other than DIVORCE.

People have so commonized marriage now that it is seen as a means to getting rich. They look for someone who’s crazily rich, get married to them, push them into doing something wrong (like sleeping with someone else), file for a divorce and get the settlement they’ve wanted from the start. This is so wrong. Both in the eyes of God and man whom they stood in his presence and made marriage vows. Divorce has become so common that when couples get married, people put their ears to the ground and wait for the news of their divorce. Things have turned around to the extent that when we hear a couple’s divorcing, we just shrug our shoulders and say it is a normal thing.

It’s high time we put a stop to this and consider the trauma that comes with it. It’s so funny that the children are not put into consideration during the whole divorce thing. Aren’t they a part of that blessed union? PLEASE PLEASE AND PLEASE, don’t get married if you’re not up for it. It takes a lot to stay married not just getting pregnant and bringing forth babies that would be dragged between both parents later on.

Let us put a stop to the name calling that comes with being divorced. The first thing that comes to mind when you hear someone is divorced is IRRESPONSIBILITY. And i believe no one wants to be tagged as that.
