Firstly, let me say Rest In Peace to the dead.I hope he spent his last days pleasing God
I cant stop thinking about these so called Politicians and Public office holders,do they really think about life at all
Someone loots/steals public fund, take it abroad to hide. What if while coming back his plane crashes, who will live to own that money in the bank. These monies are enough to give us good roads, good basic amenities, put our hospitals in good shape and well equipped.
Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha, an ex-governor of Bayelsa state died in University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) ,the same hospital we have heard to be in bad state in recent times. Maybe they would have been able to save his life if they had world class medical facilities ,just maybe. But instead of developing their own country in terms of these facilities, they take the monies abroad. You were a governor for just a few years, you could steal money to go hide abroad, but you could not build a state of the heart hospital in the state you governed.Maybe that would have given you a chance to live longer, maybe there wouldn't have been any need transporting you to yet another substandard hospital in a neighboring state. Money cant buy life, let us always remember that.
To my fellow Nigerians, maybe it's time to wake up.These people are not called to deprive us of good living ,so many accidents could be avoided if the roads are good. I lost a friend recently due to accident on a bad road, maybe he wouldn't have left that soon if the roads were better.
What is wrong with these people Remember you will not always have that time to be flown abroad,it takes 5/6 hours to get to London. Why not make Nigeria your America,Make Nigeria your UK.
Am just weak thinking about all these

While this might come off as insensitive, it's the whole truth.

"Only If"

So sad indeed.

When you advise some people here not to support corrupt politicians, all what you will read from them is "he /she is my from my ethnicity /region".

Each governor should ensure there is at least 1 world class hospital in every state.

In as much as you are correct, remember that when death comes calling, even the best medical doctors and facilities can do nothing to save one.

I don't really believe Alams is dead. Alams is a conman. He must have faked his death to escape extradition to UK. But if truly he is dead, he Alams must have died because of the extradition Order by the British govt. Again, if no that Alams is a wanted man globally, he would have be flown out of the country for a better treatment instead of UPTH. But he cannot go to those counties for better treatment, so he died here at home instead of becoming James Ibori's cell mate. Among our thieving politician, who is next?

Hmmm....

OP Thank you for this factual points you've raised.

And I want to state that SouthAfrica is the highest beneficiary of our money as many of our politicians, artist, actors and actresses go to spend their holidays and vacations as well as shooting musical videos. This attracts high taxes which they don't mind but pay.

The same Southafrica came up with xenophobia fight against Nigerians and other african countries.

Aside SouthAfrica, America and other Western countries have also been benefiting from our money.

Our leaders have done nothing good but to spend our money to enrich others and living high rate of poverty to strike us. We don't have philanthropists, we don't have scholarship units and many other units that will stand out for the less privileges.

The country isn't united. Religion is killing us... Tribalism is destroying us... Politics is setting us aside... Even our local cultism group has rendered our young ones useless... Lecturers in the universities don't sit up to lecture students... They're equally fighting to become profs and associate profs and perhaps VCs and so on...

Infact, the country isn't in good shape... So the change from APC isn't all about this things... Its just about political change.

God Bless Nigeria!

I dont know who you are, but a sane person will know these stuffs are not rubbish,They are just bitter truth. From your reply,it seems you are doing so good that you dont see what is happening to millions around you.Personally ,I can afford things too,I am doing so good but I cant overlook the pains our people feel.
My people will say,One rich man amidst 6 poor ones is as good as poor too.am not saying everyone would/should be rich, but we have the resources to all enjoy some amenities. And we all deserve this good life
Who knows, maybe @babasanti is just one of the masses still blind to the truth and living in penury.May God help us all
