the only option left for them is to surface here running their mouth

when u hit them back, oh this is what u get, yes i got lots and lots of ghanaian friend hahhhah, just cant stop laughin, when it bloody obvious that these folks rather house a white man that sold africa people to a nigeria man cuz the former is a devil in africa

there was once in uk these bloody africans are sayin nigerians are giving african people bad name in uk

however when the stastic speaks that nigeria are on top in the acadamy league, the ghana man will always remind u cuz it down to ur population? hahhahha clever man ehhh ? is it how the analist come up with that?? ehh

well u see some of them that ve condemed nigeria, but still love to sell their car to nigerians back home? ehhh

when they travel home, they dnt even have a place to sleep on, they spent their wages and stuff on hotel bill

again and again, i will say it the whole africans dnt like nigerians,u can always see it in nl, and dnt bother telling me u got ghana 319 hha friend

get real guys - the writing is on the wall

Did you watch chinua achebe's interview showed on channel 4 uk last week. check bbc i player?
r u going to conclude that his criticisms are unjustified.

Those nigerians that are high achievers in the uk - How many of them (percentage wise) give naija the thumbs up.
Being critical does not make one UNPatriotic.

As for me I will still stick to my opinion - NIGERIA MUST BE DOING BETTER
We will keep on accessing nigeria based on its preformance
We will give credit where it is due and vice versa

Oh yes we are always glad when we hear about Nigerians making waves abroad in education, IT, Business, Medicine.Literature, Media, Banking music and sport - Great
and likewise we will continue to voice and show our displeasure to the 419ers, the baba go slow policy makers, the pen robbers.

My advice to u guys is to seek more info based the worlds perception of nigeria and compare it with the info u receive within. and base ur judjement
on that.

One thing about naija that I give credit for is the people's Resilience in the current climate- People make do with what they have.
But imagine if the enviroment was more condusive for them- The world will be at their feet.

May be u want us to keep quiet like mr lookman and say Nigeria don better. We go to naija very often- and progress is slow on the ground
the gap is getting wider, Still 10 million computers owners - less than 6%

And that is my point. cool

@ikeyman00 - Na wa for u o!!
you profile and postings says a lot about you. Ironically, I am very proud of you.
OMO NAIJA RERE!!

@YommyUk, and how does that relate to the alleged Ghanaians fear of Nigerians dominating their economy?

I really dont see the relationship between Nigerian business in Ghana, and what you have consistently posted.

Which if you ask me is simply a pit up between Ghana as a country and Nigeria as a country. It does not relate to the topic at all, and deliberately so if you ask me.

How does it relate to the "feared domination" of Ghanaian business men towards Nigerian businessmen  IN GHANA, ?

Shouldn't you rather be looking at Nigerian business in Ghana, at least that would be relevant to the thread.

@londoner - partly u are right. However my last 4 posts on this thread was in response to some posters.
a posters was lamenting on the increase in the threshold to $350k for foreign investors in Ghana.
he/she taught there is a vendetta against nigerian entrepreneurs. I disagreed by saying naijas
must comply and envisaged that such policy will eradicate the okirika boys(i.e. Hawkers)
Then I started getting a funny responses from Ikey and his cronies.

So probably we have sidetracked from the main topic a little bit tongue
However all in all the discussion is all inter-related.
If Naija wants to dominate the ghanaian economy, if Ghana raises the bar , then the naijas must improvise and compete.
Ghana has to protect its local businesses. It is normal business pratice.
Anyway thanks for ur observation. wink

shesi:

where do you people get your facts from? Nigeria supplies Ghana electricity? Are you ffing kidding me?  Ghana that supplies Power to Burkina Faso, Togo, and Cote D'Ivoire? And Nigeria supplies us power? You are dreaming!
Olu Maintain adopted a ghanaian kid so what? Has no Ghanaian ever adopted a nigerian kid?
Do you know how much the government of Nigeria owes our Oil Refinery Company at any one time? Billions. WE refine your oil for you on credit. There is nothing special with that. This is how countries do business with each other. But you never hear us ghanaians claiming that we are giving alms to nigeria by doing so.
Ghana borrowed money from Nigeria? Do you understand how international business functions? We bought stuff from Nigeria on credit? THis is routine international transaction. Who told you that is brotherly love. Nigeria buys things from Ghana and other countries on credit all the time. Like my oil refinery example above.
Why do you see this as philantrophy on the part of Nigeria?
Ghana is to raise oil shipments from Nigeria from 45,000 to 60,000 barrels per day (bpd), on credit terms flexible enough to lift its economy and upgrade the living standards of its 23 million inhabitants.
An official in Ghana confirmed at the weekend that President John Atta-Mills secured the deal at talks with President Umaru Yar'Adua in Abuja.

The administration of Atta-Mills, who took office in January, is facing a cash crunch as a result of the global melt down and high spending by the previous government in 2008.

Mahama Ayariga, spokesperson for Mills, said 45,000 barrels of the shipments would go to the Tema Oil Refinery and the balance to the Volta River Authority for power generation.

Nigeria would also extend credit for 90 days, instead of the current 30 days.

Ghana, the world's second biggest cocoa grower, is itself due to become an oil producer by the end of next year.

Atta-Mills had on Friday promised that his government would provide "a level playing field" for Nigerian investors in his country.

"I want to assure Nigerian investors that we will maintain a level-playing field for them in Ghana, because they have contributed to the growth of our economy through the provision of jobs and opened up the country," he told Yar'Adua.

In the past few years, hundreds of Nigerian investors, driven away from home by poor infrastructure and high cost of doing business, have berthed in Ghana, less than an hour's flight from Lagos.

Atta-Mills thanked Yar'Adua for the role he played which cooled down tempers during the Ghanaian elections last December.

"I will always remember that when we had challenges, you came to our aid," he said without giving details.

They better get used to it. We are not just conmen. We are hustlers first, conmen second(infact its just negative hustling, we are hustlers first and foremost).
