Mr Onoja, what a good way to look out for your countries interest and safe guard the effort of th government.
I've been in the Caribbean for sometime now, Guyana to be specific, which is the country you reside. Pardon me if I don't recognize you as a notable figure in the Nigerian community in th Caribbean, i see you as a man who is full of pride, one who can interrupt the procession of Nigerian meeting proceeding . In one particular occasion you were involved in th exchange of blows and physical combat with some Nigerian students here in Guyana during a meeting proceeding because they tried to resist your intention of imposing yourself as the President of the Association. ( What a way to "co-ordinate Nigerians)
As a student of Texila American University which you mentioned, am going to take some time to respond to some point you mentioned.
Firstly, TAU do not produce medical doctors in less than 3 years, get your facts right Mr man. A student with a degree spends 4 and half years in the university ( 2 years for pre-clinical program and the other 2 and half years in clinical program). Those with O'levels or fresh secondary school graduate spend 6 ( 1 and half years for pre med program, 2 years for pre clinical program and 2 and half years for clinical programs). These clinical programs are done in Georgetown public hospital which is a teaching hospital. The University is also affiliated to some teaching hospitals in the Philippine ( Far-Eastern university - Nicanor Reyes medical foundation medical center and Jose Reyes Memorial medical center). I wonder how they could have been affiliated with such medical institute when they are not accredited ( I guess your informant hasn't told you that part of the story' tell him or her to get some new and recent information)
Secondly, TAU is recognized by a the department of education via registration with the national accreditation council of Guyana, it is listed in World Health Organization ( A publicly accessible database of schools, colleges and universities for education of academic professionals in health), it is listed in International Medical Education Directory ( An up-to-date compilation of international medical schools recognized by the appropriate government agency in the medical schools respective country, recognition by ECFMG depends on whether or not the school is listed in this directory) and so on. I think you really need to visit the university personally to get a first hand information on the accreditation status before you talk.
Thirdly, "population of 300"? Hahahahahaa...... Very funny. I wonder when u visited the classes for a head count, I also wonder how u came into the conclusion that the locals don't attend the university, for the love of God my class has noting less than 10 local students. ( Once again you and your informant missed that, next time educate him or her how to recognize locals when he or she sees one, I guess that would be when the management organize a head count for the " Co-ordinator of Nigerians in the caribbean"wink
Well, am done with what I have to say for now, but before I leave, I think I should educate you cus apparently you don't know. Every foreign medical graduate who returns back to Nigeria is tested both practically, orally or otherwise before they are allowed to practice, which we are all aware of and looking forward to prove the worth of the education and certificate we receive here.
I can't stop writhing without mentioning your self acclaimed title " Co-ordinator, Nigerians the in diaspora caribbean". Please who created such office or voted you into that post, was it the present or past administration in Nigeria? Because I've not seen or heard anything like that before
Have a nice day Mr Onoja and merry Xmas to you and yor Guyanese wife who probably got you your visa to Guyana.

Allow the bitter man with his vendetta. We all know he met the woman he lives with online through "yahoo yahoo" means and she imported him in. The joke here is the fact that such a jobless fellow wants to be president of Nigerians here. You can hide behind your keyboard Mr Onoja and type rubbish, just remember that your acts are libellous and can be followed with legal actions.

Both of you write poorly.

Is that how they write in Guyana?

Nevertheless, Mr. Onoja should relax.

It is not that easy to practice medicine or dentistry in Nigeria.  In fact it is not easy at all to practice in any medical profession in Nigeria.

The medical sector is one of the most regulated ‎sectors in Nigeria. There's no way these guys will just enter the country from Guyana (or anywhere at all) and begin to practice medicine.

Medicine and dentistry graduates are subjected to a very thorough licensure process by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Their acquired skills are put to rigorous tests after which successful candidates are awarded practicing license to operate in Nigeria.

It is not only a crime for anyone to practice as a doctor or dentist without a license by the MDCN, it is also a crime for any medical facility or organization to engage the services of an unlicensed person(s).

While it is not out of place to 'alert' the country on what you think is a potential danger to the Nigerian society (irrespective of your MOTIVE), it is better to appreciate the robust regulatory standards, instruments and institutions already in place to prevent and sanction such infractions.

This has just been brought to my attention, while I didn't post this on this site.I would however responding point by point

1)PRIDE; In words and in deeds I am a very very proud man, when it comes to issues of my country, I am not for sale, please state here how much commission your so called school pays to you students for bringing a new student

2) Duration: Common sense is not common, this is a fact Texila University is five (5)years old yet it has done two graduation ceremonies which mean the first set spent three (3)years.

3)population: to this I would allow the news papers do the talking...http://www.guyanatimesgy.com/2014/08/16/texila-american-university-expanding-operations/

4)Accreditation: the highest rated university in Guyana is the University of Guyana .which is regarded to have lost its accreditation for its medical school because it lost its Caribbean medical council accreditation which is worthy of note that the government is working hard to get back by or before the end of this year. which by the way is the main accreditation for the region. texila America university has no accreditation from the Caribbean association of medical council ,a quick look at there website would clearly show you that neither are they registered with the medical council of Guyana.

5)Appointment :Due to the fact you are lacking in home training which is practically unbecoming of an African ,and also strange to Nigerian Parental standards, I would enlighten you at the 5th meeting of prominent personality in the Caribbean from Nigeria which was held September 19th in the beautiful island of Curacao, I was voted to leader the founding phase as coordinator of the Nigerians in the diaspora Caribbean with a mission to produce the constitutional frame work for the organization and to examine where is best suited for the head quarter of what is going to be a meeting point for all Nigerian Associations in the Caribbean, a responsibility which I have worked so hard on and would be delivering on my mandate by or before the expiration of the one year timeline.

6) Family :your closing line is a reflection of the unfortunate nature of humans I had to work with at my time serving as the Vice President of the Nigerian Association in Guyana, a sorry situation where tribalism took front burner over patriotism. even with all obstacles in my way, I manage to co fund the Association in partnership with very distingue gentle men like Mr Obi, Mr Vicent, Mr Nnamdi, Dr obi and pastor Towasha among others, I equally have to my credit the review of the constitution which had not been done in almost twenty years, I equally played a key role in dropping the deportation insurance for Nigerian student in the same texila university ,I encouraged the growth of the Nigerian business community, Assisted student whenever as philanthropic gesture, not to mention opening up communication with the Nigerian Government, the Nigerian Embassy in Trinidad which I am grateful to for there hard work and dedication, just to mention a few of my achievement. All this were achieved under six months.
its should be noted that since my voluntary resignation from the Association, the association went into a steady decline. As of today the Nigeria Association in Guyana has seized existence .
I would indeed appreciate some maturity be shown in the public domain.by having the decency not to bring my wife into an issue that she has no business been in, it should be noted equally that as you can see above my name is clearly spelt out, I do not need to hide because I know what I stand for, while you on the other hand go under a fictitious identity

Thanks
Onoja.Atta.Onoja

Interesting. So, there are Nigerians in Guyana, which is, statistically, the least visited country in the world.
