A former Senator and Minister of Interior, Iyorchia Ayu, says he received N345m from the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, as payment for consultation work he did.
Ayu is one of those whose names have been mentioned as beneficiaries of funds which ought to have gone towards equipping the military but were allegedly diverted.
The Benue born politician explained that he received the N345m as consultation on difficult issues but did not state what issues he was referring to.


“Any funds remitted to the company were for consultancies on security related and electoral matters.
“When Colonel Sambo Dasuki assumed duty in June 2012, he approached me to assist based on my background as a social scientist and my previous involvement in government.
“Understandably, I provided the requisite advice whenever consulted on difficult issues. It is also public knowledge that I have considerable knowledge of Nigerian politics and skills for competitive political organisation.

What type of consultancy will gulp over 300million that was not awarded to security expert but given to an academic. Much as i want fair-hearing on this arms deal and other corruption related matter, its becoming clearer that the Pdp Leadership was out to corner our common PATRIMONY for itself.
