Today at around 2:20pm,a Mack transporting a caterpillar through meloch avenue awka, anambra state brought down electric naked wires that passed above the road,bringing down the pole holding the wires. The driver was said to be answering a call and was late in his reaction to the barked warning from onlookers. It was a narrow escape from what would have been a fatal accident, the pole narrowly missed the head of the Mack and again, there was no electric power at the time. Onlookers who quickly contacted PHCN learnt that they were about turning on power then, narrow escape!..no injuries recorded.
