I disagree with some of your postulations. People are differently gifted. Just say that first class candidates are always serious with their studies, and believe in themselves. Some are annoyingly anti-social and withdrawn, while some are very social. Some study always and spare not time for leisure, while some read only for few hours. Guy, many first class students don't cram, in fact, most don't.
