Mobil Mechanical Engineering Skills Test by uckon: 5:53pm On Jun 19, 2009
Hey House

I couldn't help but notice the way everyone is asking for test and interview formats for the on-going mobil engineering recruitment cycle, it seems the interviews have been going on for quite some time, I am a new graduate but I haven't served yet so I could not apply this year, I should catch the next nysc batch.

I went through previous topics on Mobil engineering formats and I saw alot of stuff on electrical engineering but nothing on mechanical engineering which is my discipline, Could someone in the house who just recently or has in the past taken the mobil mechanical engineering skills test please shed some light on the topics covered, If I start service this year then I will be able to apply when they post their advert again next year,

Any help will be much appreciated,

I as a person was unable to partake in the test, but i have someone that did the test for the mechanical engineering applicants. From what i heard, the test was in four phases, one on verbal reasoning, second on numerical reasoning, third on diagrammatical and the last on mechanical reasoning. Wishing you happy service year in advance and best of luck in life,

thanks oladapomayowa for your reply. from the earlier mobil topics I figured that all engineering disciplines all take the same aptitude test which is like you mentioned verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning and diagramatical reasoning but all engineers have a skills test tailored to their discipline of engineering

What I will like to know is what topics in mechanical engineering were covered, I imagine it included areas like thermo, heat transfer fluid mechanics etc but you know, mech engr is very broad so you need to be a bit more focused, so maybe you could ask your friend what areas in particular questions were based on, Thanks
