She used to sing only in French till she started releasing songs in English too in the mid 90s. And then she became a household name towards the late 90s. She has gone on to win multiple awards and sold over 100 million copies of her albums in the last 3 decades. It is most unfortunate that after losing her husband last week Thursday, Celine Dion's elder brother has also passed on (he died on Saturday, 16th January). What a sad time it is for the Canadian singer.






Celine Dion, 47, was just 26 years old when she married her husband, Rene Angelil in 1994. Angelil was Celine Dion's manager before they got married, and he went on to manage her till his death. He died two days before his 74th birthday. One can say he lived to be old. But Celine Dion's blood brother, Daniel Dion who died two days later, on the 16th of this month (yesterday), was 59, and could have lived longer if not for the brain, tongue and throat cancer that eventually took his life. Both her husband and brother died of Cancer.







Celine Dion's songs like Because You Loved, My Heart Will Go On, I'm Alive and a host of others gives us comfort when we are down. We wish her all the best at this time of sadness in her life.
