Only You've Changed......and Other poems by Pimples(m): 2:37pm On Feb 01, 2016 |
I am just trying out my poem writing abilities. I'll explain more at the end of my poem Its a poem about betrayed love. ONLY YOU'VE CHANGED Just as when someone goes digging And that someone is fortunate in finding A pearl whose quality is everlasting The happiness makes him go merrymaking Glad to find the pearl he goes away Admiring, polishing and brushing it everyday Shows his friends "I envy u" that's what they say Oh pearl, "I'll never part with you come what may" Several moons later time takes its toll Shouting, Fighting, biting, everything spoils He is misunderstood the pain feels like a boil They had both said " we'll end this in the soil" Oh pearl, no longer the same, much change Just beauty, no character only plenty of feign No respect, no love, no real values just pain In retrospect, I should have noticed only you've changed. In this poem.... The someone in the first verse could be anyone. ( male or female). but for simplicity he is assumed to be a man. He finds a woman (pearl). who makes him very happy ( he goes merrymaking). He tells her how much he likes her, and spends plenty of time and money on her 'everyday' ( admiring, polishing and brushing) Even his friends are happy and envious of his good fortune in finding the woman. Its obvious he marries her. In the last line of the 2nd verse he makes the wedding vow.( I'll never part with you come what may) After their wedding, several negative things start happening. from arguments which turn into shouting then into fights that features biting. The man begins to feel misunderstood. He compares his pain to that of a boil which is quite painful. He recollects the wedding vow "Till death do us part" ( we'll end this in the soil) at death, a person is buried in the soil. This shows that he now feels trapped as he wants to fulfill the vow. This further adds to his pain. He acknowledges that the woman changed after the wedding. She feign a lot which obviously deceived the man. looking back he realises that he should have noticed her real character. but she has changed after the wedding. The inspiration for this poem is from a true story 1 Like |

This is about a phone I lost last year. the suddenness of how it was stolen was the inspiration of this poem...and also the reason why I made the poem brief, because it was with me for a brief period of time BRAND NEW PHONE I bought a brand new phone The sight of which can make you moan In ecstasy - oh how it shone Beautiful and brilliant, strong like a bone Everywhere I went, it came along In my hands or pocket always playing a song Oh I'll have you forever -but I was wrong I lost it to pickpockets in a bus- then it was gone 1 Like |

MY REGRETS FLEE AWAY FROM ME I never knew you would do this I never knew you would say this So this is who you really are So this is what you are capable of So this is what it actually is So this is what it really feels like It seems my heart is moving It seems it just experienced an earthquake. You wanted me to be perfect To tell you lies as if you are a pet. You thought I could not see through your pretence Nothing you say will be enough defence. I know I'll have to face the consequence. I know I'll have to live through the pain of my offence I just need to get through this day If I survive this, I'll survive anything. You dare tell me you love me When deep down u feel I am the worst person you have ever met. Get away from me Get this painful memories away from me I plan to go on living Without your senseless hate... So run, run, run Flee away from me |

Over and over again we imagine, we aim falling on us the rain and we will feel no pain over and over again |
