I have noticed that many people now care less about changing ring tones and they all use the default Android ring tones.

So whenever I am with people and their phone rings, I always think it's my phone that is ringing.

Unlike before where people spend more time changing ring tones on daily bases.

Why do you think it is now like that?

Only kids do that these days. I mean most adults don't care about ring tones as long as they can hear their phone ringing... It doesn't matter which ring tone it's on.

It was done when Nigerians were still on jjc level in phones....now who cares? Or will ring tones put food on my table? Mine is always in silent,i dont even remember were ringtones is located self.

iHate ring tones I'm always on light only(silent) or vibration, iit kinda make you smart.

My phone has always been on vibration for at least five years now. When it's not on vibration it plays whatever tone that came with it.
There used to be a time when celebs made tons of money from ringtone downloads. Back then part of the 'in-thing' was how often you changed your ringtone and how fast you got the latest hit song as your ringtone. These days even kids don't use flashy ringtones anymore. Trends sure evolve.

Changing ringtone won't change ones economic situation.

I've been using this tone I'm using now for like 4 yrs but I've changed fones more than 10 times. It's because the music is my favourite and can never get tired of it.

When you continue using a particular thing for long, it looses it's value and you get tired of it. So changing of ringtones doesn't frek some persons because they are use to it. Similar scenario was when MTN introduced caller tunes back then, so many persons loved it but now the reverse is the case and as a matter of fact, MTN now forces you to use such services. The only thing constant is change

no matter how special or loud your ring tone is it won't stop you from having a missed call....

That's true. My phone's ringtone is in default and I don't even see why or the need to change it.

The reason is because if you keep doing what is done in 2003 in 2016, you're simply local.

i changed my ringtone only cos the default is too low. before this, i iaed my other phone for 1 year plus with the defaut tone.

This is because there is nobody to impress and oppress anymore .everyone now have an android phone and Java which can contain various music compare to years back when you only have few people whose phone can play music and they'll love to oppress others with that by changing ringing tones to latest music and all...we are all tired , the poorest lad now could have a phone with 2gig memory card with just 3k, and it will play music successfully for hours .

mine was always on vibration until i misplaced the phone within the house. it took about twenty calls before i could trace whr it was vibrating frm.
