Go and read Nigerian history well instead of coming online to expose your ignorance. Ironsi did not conduct any coup, Nzeogwu and co did. If anything, it was Ironsi who foiled the coup. Ironsi did not introduce unitary rule, the regions where still in existence when Ironsi died and had full resource contol and fiscal responsibility. It was Gowon that came in, abolished the regions, created states, took away resource control and fiscal policy which is essentially unitary rule. Accusing Ironsi of introducing military rule and all the suffering that followed it is like accusing the Wright brothers of inventing the airplane that has caused a lot of deaths.
