I want to use this medium to say a very big "Thank You" to Infinix. What a useless brand you are!!

Twice now my phone has updated its OS automatically, without my express permission, making me lose my files, music, etc.

The most annoying part about brands like you is that you come across as being the "next big thing", like a change from the status quo. However I've now realized that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I don't even know who to report this malaise too. Infinix is a cancer that must be eradicated. I don't ask for this useless updates so why do it for me? You waste my precious data all in exchange for a liability. How can I have a phone but yet would be afraid to store stuff in it? Each update leaves my phone worse off than it previously was. My phone hangs, contacts erase, files are lost and I have to start afresh. I kept quiet the first time, but this? Nah. Once is never, twice is always. I don't know how to suffer and smile at the same time. Since you are bent on making my life hell, I will return the favor in kind. I will let as many people as I can know just how much of a wasted brand you are.

you should change it to 'ask first' in the settings
so that you can't quickly back up your files before the update starts.


I think it's ur fault.

No it is not his fault but Infinix's fault. Even if updates download automatically, u are still the one that will have to choose either to install the update or not. Even if u choose to install the update without backing up, 98% of the times it is not supposed to affect ur data since it is OTA update. I have used many phones and I haven't needed to back up before installing an OTA update and I've never had problem with any of my files. I can say I have updated more than 10 phones this way without any problem. So it is bug in infinix phones.

my Hot2 has bn downloading updates (628mb) to upgrade to version 6.0 without requesting for permission. I wish I can stop ds cos it's Jst wasting my data & I don't want to loose my files after ds frustrating upgrade ooooo

Op Na that one vex you, after updating I can't read or see my sim contacts, new contacts are being saved directly to my Gmail account instead of sim card...

It gave me problems when it first upgraded to 6.0, and after factory resetting it, it went back to ALMOST NORMAL( I got back my contacts, my files were intact) but it still lagged until this morning when I received an update for marshmallow and now I haven't noticed any lagging.
