Im a graphic designer and i intend going into web design and web development. ive gone through alot of video tutorials and blog tutorials. im confused about a few things and i have a few questions for the Experienced guys in the house.

1) which of the coding languages is easier to learn for a beginner

2) is it possible to learn web design/development by yourself

3) how often is practising required to learn at a faster rate .

to learn coding language that is simple start with php it is possible to learn web design and development as long as you have keen interest in practicing is everyday because you have to keep abreast of the latest codes.i would advice you to learn from those that are professionals to give you an edge into what you are delving into

U can definitely learn it yourself.. I learnt it myself with e-books, codeacademy and YouTube tutorial mainly.. but it isn't all that easy to learn yourself there are times you would be frustrated..

Just remember the simple trick any time u get really stuck take a while away from coding come back later and Google extensively.. stackoverfolw and w3school.com will become ur best friend

So what do you need..
Learn html first
Learn css second
Learn php third
Learn javascript (optional ... I can't do Nada in javascript till now sef)

After this jump to developer stage and start doing things yourself.. download source code online and dismantle it try and understand how it's works...

Learn WordPress and joomla too.. don't be forming confirm developer every time
