Pls, may I use this opportunity to ask those of us who know better: to what extent can crop farmers use the law against trespassing to save their business from nomads & ultimately save the country & d world from imminent food insecurity stemming from the recent rise in nomads' attacks? (genuine advise needed)

The military designed constitution gives them the right to grave anywhere in Nigeria.
Start with getting your representative or senator to join Igbos in repealing this obnoxious provision in the constitution

Pls, stick to my question: to what extent does the trespass law apply already? Does ur answer mean it applies to all else except nomads? If so how?

I just told you there is a constitutional provision allowing them to graze anywhere in Nigeria.
Any more questions do your own basic research, look at the constitution, or simply educate yourself. Laziness is not allowed.

Gentleman, i am doing a research & this is part of it. i made it clear i am asking those who know. if u don't know keep quiet rather than messing urself up. u just said there is constitutional provision without citing it & u want me to just take that. & why are u talking of laziness? i notice many of u are very shallow minded here, thinking every thread is an occasion 4 mudslinging & u presume everyone else is like u. u can go ahead & continue ur expression of emptiness & then silence will be d best answer to u. For others visiting this page: i hav written all these to show u i still await response from those who have intelligent answers.

There is no such provision that allows herdsmen to graze anywhere. This is how misinformation spreads. If think such a provision exists, you should quote it.

The constitution allows for freedom of movement. This means you can move from Sokoto and live in Enugu. It doesn't allow your cows to go and destroy crops in anyone's farm. In fact, you can use the same constitution to ban herding of cows on foot. See details below:
