Ever since I started my primary school in the early 90s, all I've seen is a scalar nation.
A nation without sustainable development program.

A nation that does not care if its citizens exist except when in need of their vote.

A nation which most of its leaders are not inclined about modern technological approach in solving complex issues.

A nation in which there's no plan to curtail the continuous degradation of her environment.

A nation in which virtually everything it uses are imported.

A nation with vast Arable land but still ignored investment in agriculture.

A nation in which it's citizens security is not guaranteed.

A Nation whose educational policies are not pragmatic and engineered towards tackling the prevailing issues.

A nation in which everybody want to become a POLITICIAN just to make quick dough.

I could go on and on about the AGONY of every Nigerian and it won't stop

Unlike Americans (USA precisely) it is an honor for them to lay down their lives for America

Just yesterday a friend asked me if I COULD DIE FOR THE CAUSE OF NIGERIA, and my Response was NO.

If asked similar question, would your response differ from mine and if YES, WHY?

You're right man. Those people doing that had earlier sacrificed their autonomy and then pledged their life to the sovereignty of the Nationhood.
But can you also emulate their Feat?

There are people still dying for the country.... (the soldiers and all).

But as for me, staying alive will be just okay. I don't have to die for Nigeria to prove my loyalty. You may never know what my staying alive will do for Her or the world. And yep.... I'm working my socks off.

Sometimes, staying alive is the loyalty... wink

Imagine what would have happened had Winston Churchill died when hit by a car in New York just before the world war II began.

Even FDR (or is it Harry Truman?) was supposed to have died before WWII.... But somehow, their staying alive became their nations' and the earth's salvation as both men led their nations to defeat the super madness of Adolf Hitler.

So another question is will you stay alive for your country? wink

Note: Staying alive refers to those really doing something worthwhile with their lives. People really building themselves and their dreams. So uhmm... are you one of them? #selah

P.S: Your exact question was already answered by you. But there are families losing loved ones in Nigeria daily in their battle against boko haram and such... don't mock their loss.

As an Igbo man, you think I'm going to sacrifice my life for the Yoruba or Hausa man who I don't like and who don't like me? I would rather shoot my self first. The only people I would sacrifice my life for are the old Midwest and Eastern region, but Nigeria? Not in a million years!

Many hated Jesus and cursed Him too. hmmm...

I can confidently and joyfully die for Biafra but for Nigeria, no way. Mind you, most of the soldiers are there because of unemployment. Police recruitment can attest to this fact. Do you think that more than 100,000 people that registered for police really want to be police officers? No sane person can die for Nigeria.

Thats easy to say on NL. You have no clue what biafra is go and let ur parents give u the full gist. Btw from ur comments, u seem to be a serial job applicant. Perhaps frustrated by the series of fruitless applications.
After making all ur noise, everything about u still points to nigeria. Ur drivers license, passport, even local govt certificate. Only a less than smart person will be shouting biafra
