My Experience At Sterling Bank Ibadan by haul: 3:23pm On May 19, 2016
I left my house to cash a cheque at the closest sterling bank in my area which happens to be the apata branch ibadan. well, I got to the gate of the bank and to my surprise I experienced something very shambolic that would pass for racism undertone! I approached the gateman to enter the bank and he said "we didn't open today", I've even forgotten about the strike case around. to my amusement a man of arab ancestry came to the bank and immediately the two gatemen allowed the man in while I look regrettably stupid at the gate while passersby gave me a gaze that can be considered sardonic.

I had to leave for gtb bank to pay in, I came back to the same sterling bank to withdraw from their atm machine and I felt like let me even probe further why they didn't allow me, so I asked the two guys, and they said am I still staying outside since that time? I said no but why didn't they allow me? They said because of NLC people that they don't want them to disrupt their activities , I queried them that why then did they allow the arab man into the banking compound? They became dumb!

Instantly, I left in annoyance, I'm sure the manager wouldn't know this, and I'm thinking the gatemen don't even understand their act can be considered "racism", to my understanding I think they felt inferior to him and they acted very unprofessional towards me.I wouIdnt have posted this here if they told me they didn't open but the fact they allowed another man inside due to their inferiority complex. I felt stupidly embarrassed.
