PDP- "the largest political party in Africa" is indeed so "large" that it needs 3 Chairmen to lead it. Congratulations PDP for this unique political innovation. 1 Like |

enlightenedmind:you better stop deceiving yourself PDP is an household name even in the north. What leads to their lost in 2015 election was the internal crisis that was not well managed. If not for that PDP would have won that election . |

Dakwambo/any candidate from the southwest that got political clout..not fayose please! pdp should do their homework perfectly, they should carry out a campaign of calumny against buhari's personage in the middlebelt using the fulani herdsman brouhaha... Southwest are the most intelligent voters we have in nigeria(i'm igbo) just have to say the truth..if buhari fails to meet upto expectation before 2019..southwest votes are not sure for him..except apc decides to rig! Pdp won't be dull to let that happen. They would be wide spread voters apathy in se/ss..they are already tired of nigeria..pdp would trounced buhari in both regions with massive rigging buhari would be left with just northwest votes and a chunk of north east.. Dakwambo please start using the social media..let more people know bou' your personality! 1 Like |

ramdris: I think you are wrong, it is the North that has the determining factor because of their numerical strength, high political consciousness and political sophistication. it has been like that right from the first republic. In 1999 when the SW presented Olu Falae and the North presented Obasanjo who won? In 2003 the SW had to drop the idea of presenting their candidate and follow the North and Obasanjo won for the second term. If the SW had presented their own candidate to contest against Buhari in 2015, Buhari could have still won the election. Ask yourself why PDP recently zone its 2019 presidential candidate to the North? because that is the only way of increasing its chances of winning the elections. One important but neglected problem the south has is disunity, it is very common to hear an average southerner saying I am from SW, SE SS but a Northerner will say I am from the North irrespective of whether he is from the NW, SE or NC. |

The yorubas are the most educated tribe. They always play the game of politics well and when it favors them, people I'll start calling them saboteurs. Now for buhari to be defeated, the opposition needs to file out ribadu. He is a progressive who I'll mk sure money were spent for wat they were meant for. He is educated and can command votes from few northern States, enlightened yorubas and ss and se. But the opposition will not hear. They I'll say he is a child n I'll bring people ladened with corruption to contest thinking Nigerians still think like in d past. 2 Likes |

Re: Who Can Defeat Buhari In 2019? by CSTR6: 2:52pm On May 22, 2016 |
olatunji21:I didn't say they would win. They would lose not because their numbers are not good enough to win especially when you consider how poor buhari is, but because the fight is never going to be fair. A better yoruba candidate hypothetically running against buhari will lose woefully even with all your so-called bridge. That is the power of the north. Whoever they support, even if he has a goat brain would win. Has nothing to do with alliance, just how the political balance is currently stacked. |

bettercreature: Please take note of these facts: Buhari won the last election with only 2.7 million votes. Jonathan lost a lot of votes from the SE (in 2015 relative to 2011) because of low voters' registration, and poor voters' turn out on election day. I'm not saying he would have won if the turn out in the SE was maximal. Also, hope you remember that it took Ọhaneze a lot of time to adopt Jonathan. They agreed he failed Igbos, but only adopted him finally because Buhari was a worse option for Igbos. Four of the North Central states voted for Buhari in 2015, compared to 2011 when they all voted for Jonathan. Buhari won with a greater margin in the NC than in the SW because his margin of win in the SW which was approximately 612k is less than the 678k with which he won in only Niger and Kwara combined. Finally, South west only gave Buhari about 57% of their votes (2.4 million votes) while Jonathan had 43% (1.8 million). The total SW votes for Buhari is just a little more than the votes Kano alone gave him. I pointed this out for you and others to stop bragging how SW will always determine the swing of election results. Even if you guys had given Jonathan an additional 1 million vote, altogether making it 2.8 million votes (ie 67% of your total votes), Buhari would have still won. It's to let you know how not-too-significant the SW contribution to Buhari's victory was. 1 Like 1 Share |

If you have the stomach to bear it, then here is the truth, No shaking for baba till he completes his 2nd term, except he says he says he is not going or God takes him away. Buhari has tonnes of followers, even if he leaves APC and joins BBC, a lot of people would still flow him. I dont see any credible opposition to him in Nigeria at the moment |

Unsad:it was votes from south west and north central that determine the winner of 2015 election because north west and north east has always been buhari stronghold |
