The Professionals For Good Governance(PFGG) have rewarded a retired civil servant, Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi with a cash gift of N125,000 for his honesty and integrity in public service. PFGG1

Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi received a bank alert of the payment of his usual salary of N34,000 despite his recent retirement as Assistant Headmaster at Gabbukka Primary School in Gombe.

Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi immediately returned the money to the State Treasury despite terrible hardship and inconvenience to his person. As he had no money for transport, he had to make the journey to both the bank and the state treasury on foot.

Ms. Safiya Stephanie Musa, Founder of PFGG described Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi as a remarkable public servant and a role model worthy of emulation by all Nigerians.

“Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi has demonstrated exemplary conduct and is a beacon of hope for a better Nigeria devoid of corruption as well as other sharp practices which have retarded the socio-economic development of our dear fatherland” she declared.

An overwhelmed Mallam Jafaru Adamu Boderi expressed profound gratitude to PFGG for the gesture. ” I am so happy for this recognition and I hope other Nigerians would be inspired to shun corruption in all its forms”.

PFGG is a non-partisan association of Nigerians with a passionate commitment to promoting good governance and ethical conduct in both the private and public sectors as well as the civic society in Nigeria.
