I heard over the radio Bond FM 92.9 issued this warning that if your car breaks down in that bridge, jump down immediately and start running. don't hesitate, just start running.

A man was recently attacked, he was not fast enough to run, the guy was caught and stabbed 3 times on his back, he is currently in the hospital.

2 men were driving a Siena, the Suv broke down, they both took off but one of them.was not lucky, a curved knife was used to pull out his intestines when he was caught.

Pls pass the warning across.

noooooo, not jumping down from the bridge o. it is not even possible apart from the fact that it is very dangerous as that is where the attackers hide. I heard they climb the bridge with ladders.

what I meant was jump out of your vehicle and start running maybe towards Berger or back to the direction you were coming from.

This is a road I go with almost everyday . There is no perfect remedy to escape long bridge scenes ,running most of the time is not even an option but the best you can do because before you can pronounce your name they are around you with dangerous arms . If you are rob of your belongings with no bruiz ,just thank God .One should just pray the robbers that operate on the bridge aren't around when your vehicle breakdown .


There is a police special unit that patrol that bridge day and night , recently we have not been seeing them for weeks . The robbers operation are fast and deadly .


The attacks has even reduce I must say ,during the early 2000 ,long bridge is the most dangerous place in Nigeria where your vehicle should breakdown , chances are you will be dead in minutes .

Running forward or backward trying to escape comes with consequences , you can be lucky to have choose the forward decision or the other . When a vehicle breakdown occur you see passengers start running in different directions out of fear .

Let me sound this alarm bolseas. The robbers on long bridge attack any time of the day. I repeat any time . And when someone is being attack on long bridge during the day or night , 90 percent of people would not come to your rescue , 'who one die ', and I don't blame them ....you can only pity thier situation , you see people exceeding the nigeria standard limit of 100km/hr to 120,160 . You just don't want to be another victim .


I was coming back on a Saturday around 3:45pm(afternoon) , a vehicle heading east got a flat tire ,they all came down from the bus for the tire to be fixed ,it took just less than five minute before those guys showed up and it took less than that to sweep everyone of their belonging ,lucky for them no one was injured .
Those on the other side of the road alerted the police patrolling the bridge and I must say their response was swift , before they could get to the scene where it happened , they met people with sad faces and some crying .

I would reiterate this , their attack is any time of the day but 80 percent of the attacks on that bridge was in the night .

They probably attack people with the mindset to kill because they had the impression that some people would not surrender easily .
