Milito:

I agree with you Milito, I think it will be better we wait it out because the guy we submitted together on the 8th of Feb. his own passport has being return since late match. They refuse his application. It was then the Embassy wrote an email to me for to submit Additional documents to back up my application , So I’m believing ours (Application ) will come back positive. Because I see no reason why they will hold on to our application that long , if they are not to grant the visa . My our thoughts

I think its just to wait it out.

Although you can also get the email of the embassy and send them emails especially if your intended travel date is close.

I did that to Spain sometimes ago when my application was delayed. I kept bombarding them with emails intimating them about my approaching travel date.

When it was about a week to my travel date, I started sending them daily emails with my flight booking and event registration showing event date.

They finally issued the visa and released my passport just a day to the travel date, eventually making me miss the event, though I still got the visa.

Please has anyone gotten submission date for Italy in the last 2weeks? I have been trying to get a submssion date but none available (first timer). I have sent emails to inquire about walk in but no response. I have tried to call the number on their website but not reachable. Is there any alternative way to contact them?

Can't seem to find the date of issue on it but I guess it doesn't take up to 1 day to move from the consulate back to TLS. If It is not yet with DHL then it means it is at the consulate. The return process is very fast

Hello everyone, I need your advice. My husband lives in Italy but came to Nigeria for our formal wedding in 2022. After he returned to Italy, he started the process for my relocation to Italy. However, he submitted the nulla osta request in September 2023, and we haven't received any updates since then. I'm quite worried because it's taking longer than expected.

Has anyone else experienced a similar process for family reunion? How can we expedite this process? Everything feels exhausting, especially with the language barrier. I'm unsure what steps to take next.
Re: Italy Visa by hunee: 8:26am On May 02
It does not take so long, sometimes it does. due to verfications done backend, however, do send a mail to the embassy. You could get their email on their website. All the best.

Good morning house, please can someone tell me how to reach TLS for appointment booking as their numbers are not working?
Re: Italy Visa by Stylko: 3:50pm On May 04
Nulla osta depends on how much workload/applications that city has to work on, it's advisable to hear from the competent prefettura

Reach ke? Don't think that's possible o. Try checking fir appointments at midnight or weekends etc. Times when many people wouldn't be on the system...

I noticed the earliest booking one can get is a week ahead. So for example if you're checking today - 6th May, you probably won't see an available date till the week of 13th.

Finally got a message to come collect my passport yesterday. I went there today. They refused my application, the reason they gave was that the information regarding the justification of the purpose and conditions of intended stay was not reliable, after three months of keeping my passport. Can anybody help me explain better this reason, and what I should do to avoid this in my next application

Is anyone planning to visit Schengen between the 20th and 30th of this month?? I'll be visiting for a week-long holiday and would enjoy spending time with fellow Nairalanders who are also visiting or already there, as I'm not very familiar with the the Schengen country’s.

As a first-time traveler, I'd suggest having enough documentation that shows ties to your home country. Job, pension, family, landed property where possible and any other thing that shows you have significant ties back home.
