Good people please help me out on behalf of my friend. He just got married (less than six months ago). The wife came from a christian home and the father happens to be a strict evangelist.

My friend was gisting me that his father inlaw beat her duaghter (his wife) over the weekend because she was wearing trousers. What advise would you encourage me to give my friend so something like this doesn't happen again.

Poor woman. Thank goodness she now has a husband who will stick up for her. Her father beats her for wearing trousers - even serious Christians don't do such things for goodness sake. The father sounds like a nutter.

As the father clearly has a few 'problems' and maybe only understands things from an extremist religious viewpoint, perhaps your friend should tell him that now the woman belongs to his household. the father 'handed over' the daughter to her husband on marriage. The father cannot interfere in another man's house and wife - that your friend is the head of his house and that's that! The father no longer has any rights over the daughter.

I'm as shocked and disgusted with this story as you are. I'm trying to make sense of the whole relationship and quality of people involved.

wetin that papa chop.evangelist,mis-interpretation of the bible thats a problem,especially with all these archaic churches.when a particular ministry is doing well,they call the big man church,according to pastor chris oyakhilome(they thought us the theory,but we are doing the practicals,and praticals brings result).

Answer ( Civil me); I'll call the cops, get his ass arrested for domestic violence, take him to court for assault and battery, and get a restraining oder against him.
