Tell me what you think about your friends at the top

Apparently in the opening show in london the entire cast were high on LSD.
That's the rumour.

the original recording has Ian Gillam of Deep Purple and till today he remains one of my favouritest singers.

Carl Anderson that plays Judas is pretty amazing too.

I get your message, and I agree with the core of it. That we have to change our ways. I just don't believe my fate depends on believing in Jesus. I believe in his message though. I really do. But when a message that powerful falls into the wrong hands it can be very dangerous . . . .It has been in wrong hands, IMO, from very early, before the Bible came to be.

I'm definately waiting expectantly for my ten per cent of all monies accrued.  don't delay o!

And that is separate from agents fee o!  Surely you don't mean to trust your career to some pagans with all sorts of influences that are ungodly.  We shall organise recordings and concerts and also books.  In fact we have a publishing company too so we will collect tithe, publishing royalty, agent's fee, and performance royalties.  The best thing about it is that you can rest assured in the knowledge that all the money is going towards the growth of the church rather than to some ungodly company that also has rappers and sinners as it's artists.

Remember the prophecy that we prophesied for you that you have a big part to play in this our ministry.  See how it is manifesting already?  This is the will of God.

I'm afraid you're totally wrong. There isn't only one messiach. I know where the misconception has come from. 2 things, firstly the problem of having the bible translated from a foreign language that we are not conversant with, and secondly the careless use and interchange of the articles - The and A

The Jews were waiting for A massiach. That particular messiah they were waiting for was referred to as THE messiah. Modern day christians who are reading the bible in translation do not realize that the bible is full chocablock with different messiahs. Even non jewish messiahs. Did you realise that King Cyrus of Persia was a Messiah. Indeed he was referred to as such in the bible but you wouldn't know that because it has been translated wrongly.

Messiah means anointed one. the anointing was ritually done with oil and it set apart the anointed person or object for a special service for God. King David in the old testament was a messiah ( in fact I think that there are more references to him as messiah than anyone else in the bible). King Solomon was a messiah. Even the rock on which Jacob slept is a messiah. He anointed it the next morning and named it Bethel meaning house of God.

Here are a few Jewish perspectives on what the word entails.
Two words are employed in the Old Testament for Anointing, and . The former designates the private use of unguents in making one's toilet, the latter their use as a religious rite.

The most important use of mashaḥ is in connection with certain sacred persons. The principal and oldest of these is the king, who was anointed from the earliest times (Judges, ix. 8, 15; I Sam. ix. 16, x. 1; II Sam. xix. 10; I Kings, i. 39, 45; II Kings, ix. 3, 6, xi. 12). So exclusively was Anointing reserved for the king in this period that "the Lord's anointed" became a synonym for king (I Sam. xii. 3, 5, xxvi. 11; II Sam. i. 14; Ps. xx. 7). This custom was older than the Hebrews. El-Amarna Tablet No. 37 tells of the anointing of a king.Pastor aio's note: The lord's anointed referred to the ruling King and not to some 419 pastors.

The first Biblical instance of Anointing as a sign of consecration—the pouring of oil by Jacob upon the stone of Beth-el —offered a problem to later speculative rabbis as to the source whence Jacob obtained the oil in that lonely spot. The reply was made by them that it must have "streamed down from heaven in quantity just sufficient for the purpose" (Gen. R. lxix., Pirḳe R. El. xxxv.).
http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=1559&letter=A

The Name. The name or title of the ideal king of the Messianic age; used also without the article as a proper name—"Mashiaḥ" (in the Babylonian Talmud and in the midrash literature), like Χριστός in the Gospels. The Grecized Μεσσιας of the New Testament (John i. 41, iv. 25) is a transliteration of the Aramaic form, Aramaic being the spoken language of Palestine in the time of Jesus. "The Messiah" (with the article and not in apposition with another word) is, however, not an Old Testament expression, but occurs for the first time in apocalyptic literature. Similarly, in all probability the use of the word "Mashiaḥ" to denote the Messianic king is not found earlier than the apocalyptic literature. In the Old Testament the earliest use of the word is with Yhwh (or with a pronominal suffix referring to Yhwh) as a title of the ruling sovereign Meshiaḥ Yhwh ("God's anointed one"; I Sam. ii. 10, 35; xii. 3, 5; xvi. 6; xxvi. 9, 11, 16, 23; II Sam. i. 14, 16; xix. 21; II Chron. vi. 42; Ps. xviii. 51 [A. V. 50]; xx. 7 [A. V. 6]; cxxxii. 17 [applying to David]; Lam. iv. 20). (pastor aio's note: please make sure you check all the biblical references.)

so the anointing of the king made him Meshiaḥ Yhwh, placed him in a special relationship to God, and established him as the one chosen by God to represent His rulership in Israel and to bear witness to His glory before the nations (comp. II Sam. vii. 8-11, 14; Isa. lv. 4; Ps. lxxxix. 4, 21-29). As "God's anointed one" the king was sacrosanct and inviolable (comp. I Sam. xxvi. 9). Hence the later applications of the title "Meshiaḥ Yhwh" in the Old Testament.

In Isa. xlv. 1 Cyrus is called "God's anointed one," because God has called him and given him victory after victory for the distinct purpose of putting an end to the Babylonian kingdom and the worship of idols, of setting free exiled Israel, and thus introducing the new era of God's universal dominion. In Ps. cv. 15 the Patriarchs are called "God's anointed ones" because they are under the special protection of God and therefore inviolable. Finally, in Hab. iii. 13, Ps. xxviii. 8, lxxxiv. 10 (A. V.9), and possibly in lxxxix. 39, 52 (A. V. 38, 51), the title is applied to Israel, God's chosen people.

This next guy is interesting.
Messiach

So who is the Messiah? How does one recognize the Messiah? No one can make such a determination unless they understand what a Messiah is and what a Messiah is suppose to do. Starting with the basics, the English word "Messiah" is a transliteration of the Hebrew word "Messiach". The literal translation of Messiach is "anointed". It refers to someone anointed with oil as part of a religious service, which was, and is, in some cases, performed upon assuming a leadership role. In some sense, the Queen of England is a Messiah.

In the Jewish Bible, the term messiah refers to someone anointed with oil in the service of g-d. All the Kings of Israel and the high Priests were anointed. The bible refers to these "anointed people" as Messiahs. In other words, it is a generic term. One can find references to King Saul, and King Cyrus (of Persia) as "G-d's Messiah." Of all the messiahs referenced, only one was called "the Messiah." That was Aaron, Moses’s elder brother. The word messiah is never used to describe a future person. (pastor aio's note: I beg to differ here.)

So, if the bible does not refer to a future messiah, where does the concept (in Judaism) come from? Who are we waiting for? There are a number of references (Isaiah, Amos, Jeremiah, et al) to a future age of perfection where there will be peace all over the world and all people will recognize G-d. Some of these references refer to someone, a descendent of David (or Jessie, David's father) and Solomon, sitting on the throne of Israel during this perfect time. He is not referred to as "the Messiah." But, if he is on the throne, he will be anointed and therefore a messiah. When a Jew says he is waiting for the messiah, he refers to this individual.

What is the messiah's role? The prophecies are that this king will reign with righteousness and justice over the Jews in the land he gave them, and follow the rules (ordinances and statures) that G-d provided. The bible does not ever refer to a belief in the Messiah. Belief will not be necessary. If the entire earth is at peace, the Jews have returned to the Land of Israel, and all people believe in G-d we will indisputable be in the Messianic age.

Why are we still waiting for the Messiah? Because the messianic age hasn't occurred. No one has ruled Israel (or any place else) during such an age. The world has never seen a time when peace was everywhere and when all people believed in G-d.

Can Jesus or anyone else that has lived be the Jewish Messiah? Obviously not. Not only hasn't the messianic age occurred, but Elijah, the prophet, hasn't returned (another criteria). In Jesus's case, he did not meet any of the Jewish Bible's criteria for the Jewish Messiah. He was not anointed as king, did not rule Israel, did not rule Israel during a time of peace, and did not possess the necessary genealogy (which must be passed through the biological father). Even if it could be passed through the adopted father, Joseph's father's roots include Jeconiah who was cursed by G-d disqualifying him. (Pastor's note: Again I disagree here, many christians would argue that the return of elijah was fulfilled in John the baptiser.)

The bottom line is that the Jewish concept of "the Messiah" is incompatible with the Christian concept. Fortunately, we live in a country where we can have such different beliefs, yet respect each other's right to do so.
