I can't believe my that my Task manager is missing in my system
although i used my computer alone any time i press the shutcut for the task manager it shows a dialogue box saying that Taskmanger has been disabled by my Administrator when i am the only one using te computer.

@michael 13 seems to me you recently used anti virus sw to scan your system or have norton installed that might have caused this behaviour

take it is XP or Vista yeah ? I"ll go for xp because of it's popularity. click start look for run copy and paste this into the box, have just tried it on my xp machine does work, not sure of vista but worth trying


REG add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPol iciesSystem /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

then press enter all you see is a flash black box what that does is its quickly amends the registry without having to do it maunally which can be frustating. after that hold down ctl+alt+del should be alright

Anyway i have had similar experience in the past and through my researches i discovered that it is the work of spy-ware let me have ur email address so i send u an anti spy-ware that u can use to scan ur system and am sure it will remove it. please let me have it in my email box yinkfad24u@hotmail.com or yinkfad@gmail.com.

if the task manager has worked before and it only recently started giving that problem
it is probably the work of a virus; make sure your antivirus
is up to date and do a full scan.
of course this will not enable your task manager however it will keep that problem
from reccuring once you've run the command that Deji mentioned
