Report reaching us is that Zenith Bank PLC Staff, Bunmi Falana Aka Bumshaka, has been DEMOTED to a mere Marketer by Zenith Bank Plc. He has also been told to resume work at a branch in Agbara Lagos!
This happened after he was caught on camera kneeling down to beg Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.

if we must be truthful to ourselves, this politicians can ridicule themselves. Everybody knows presidential & gubernatorial elections in Nigeria are sponsored by banks & corporate organisations especially when a candidate stands a chance of winning. They gamble such sponsorships for patronage after the elections. At times they sponsor more than one candidate for a particular position so as not to loose out. So the authorities should stop playing on our intelligence.

Seriously, I pity this guy.

What was expected of him?

He (Fayose) gave him the fund when he needed deposit like mad so as to keep his job and put food on his family's table.

Bank's Management had to send the account officer and other top officers to pacify him and maintain business

Guy feels threatened (since the bank's already warned him never to come to office the next day if he does not sustain the customer's relationship with the bank)

The poor guy, goes on his Knees (a respectful way of apologising to a superior especially in the south western part of Nigeria) and then begs the customer to let go and keep doing business with the bank (Zenith).

Tale goes public, bank's image dented..

you obviously don't know what you're talking about. That guy may have been the accounting officer for Fayose, He may have been the one that sourced the over 1 billion naira account. Zenith Bank has benefitted immensely from such a huge deposit. Demotion was just a face saving act, that's a highly resourceful staff, they would want to keep.

The allegations made against the bank by fayose might actually be true.

When an organization wants to dismiss you diplomatically they first demote you and then transfer you to a dead zone while further investigation or action is awaited.
Remember what happened to Marylin Ogah of DSS who was first recalled from an abroad course and demoted then posted to Maiduguri or Ribadu when he was recalled back to the Police and posted to an obscure unit. Even Mbu, the lion of Jonathan's Police force then was taken to Jos to teach before he was recently retired.

Fayose got the job for him for the purpose of his selfish interests. As a reward for his stewardship for political marauding jobs he did for his master then. Fayose was quoted to have asked Zenith bank to employ him if they want him to give them the state accounts to the Bank and they agreed.

So over to Foyose to tackle the bank for this demotion. Now the Bank wants to prove something to Fayose that he cannot eat his cake and have it.
