If the bible is true, it would've happen a long time ago.

"I'm coming soon", conveys a sense of urgency, 2,000+ years is a really long time, for a promise that claims to be soon.

If you're going to use the old rhetoric that 1,000 years is like a day to God, note that we are humans not God, a thousand years to us is nothing like a day in our frame of view. If this is what the bible meant then it did a poor job conveying the time of Christ's return.

The universe is billions of years old, and I don't think it's going to end anytime soon .
