Exxonmobil Declares Force Majeure On Crude Oil Shipments Out Of Nigeria by suavetony(m): 7:48am On Jul 18, 2016
Following recent claim by Avengers bombing 48" crude export line, ExxonMobil has declared a force majeure on Qua Iboe crude after a system anomaly was observed during a routine check of its loading facility. Force majeure is a legal clause that allows Exxon to stop shipment without breaching the JV contract - same as brass river declared in May and Forcados in February.
ExxonMobil has been the major oil company supporting Nigerian economy since recent attacks by Avengers.
