Please, this is very important for all offshore job seekers. An out fit called Starlink consultancy limited, located at 17, Okporo road, by artillery junction has been carrying out fake employment targeted mostly at offshore job seekers. A registration fee of fifteen thousand naira is charged per each unsuspecting job seeker and sometimes a fake interview arranged to make you believe its real.
I came to know this because I was a victim. Sometimes, towards the end of April this year, someone informed me of a job interview taking place at a popular hotel located on Peter Odile road, targeted at recruiting workers for an offshore oil drilling rig that would be going for work in Bakassi area of Cameroon. I went there and on my arrival met a large crowd of other job seekers. On enquiry, I was directed to a fair complexion woman who was said to be the the managing directoress of the company.
She told those of us who were not registered with the the company that we won't be allowed for interview since we were not invited. After much begging she agreed for us to be interviewed only on the ground that we would enter into an agreement to register with the company to pay a total amounts of fifteen thousand naira to be paid into company account in Skype bank as registration fee. We agreed.
After the interview some of us ignorantly paid the registration fee with the hope of getting a job job.
On getting to that office after paying the money into the said company account, I met a lot of folks also coming to look for employment there as there was a big job vacancies sign board out side the company office inviting prospective job seekers for an ongoing employment for some categories of offshore drilling rig workers and other calibre of workers.
After the interview, registration and submission of documents, no news from the company for nearby three months now. All communications has ceased. A call I made to the office sometime ago for inquiry was not answered. Yesterday, a friend called me and informed me of an outfit along Okporo road claiming to be recruiting offshore workers for a new oil drilling rig . He said he was invited there by another friend. On reaching there he was asked to register for N15, 000 as usual and he declined on the ground that he had no money to pay. So many unsuspecting job seekers had been scammed and many more are still being scammed unless an urgent step is taken.
This outfit is taking an undue advantage of the present economic situation in the country to commit atrocities. They are operating as syndicates with networks all over port Harcourt to dupe unsuspecting job seekers.
This atrocities should be quickly brought to a stop before many more become victims.
Let the relevant authorities please carry out an urgent investigation into this matter with the aim of arresting this ugly trend and bring the culprits to justice.
I sincerely implore the moderator to push this write up to front page for it to receive urgent attention it deserves.

I think its high time these fraudsters duping innocent Nigerians in the name of fake job placement be arrested and punished.I understood some of these criminals are offshore workers that lost their Jobs due to recession in the country.
But this should not be an excuse for them to be duping others in the same shoes as they are. Wherever anyone reading this piece comes across the next location of their evil hideout,,please call the law enfoncent agency immediately..The wicked shall not go unpunished.
