I want to start my own free classified ad site.. Is it compulsory to buy SSL certificate immediately i buy hosting plan or can i buy the SSL cert later on?

For your type of site and the way you phrased your question.. I think you have the money to afford one already, just go ahead and add it from the very day1 of your site, so you dont mess things up later..

If on the other hand you dont have the money for an SSL cert, then, just hit up the road and start your business, when you grow, you can then add it.. The worlds top sites recently started using ssl.. So, its no bigdeal..

The important thing is vission + marketing strategy = growth

In my terms, It should be included as a fee in all commercial websites I create...
I can't figure out the reason, but I always feel uncomfortable without it...

But I believe it necessary for all website, compulsory for ecommerce and classified ads website then useless for blogs ..

In your own case, its a classified sites, so it should be part of ur main priority, I have lot of reasons for it..

Meanwhile, if you need a developer to create the website, I can build one for you... But if not..? Make sure u get SSL .
