what legacy does Atiku have to rule this country - sentiments apart? Corruption will be embelished if he wins the election. A man who openly fights against the ruling President, without respect to the post he is aspiring to occupy? What vision has he? AC is joking.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by Roscodaddy(m): 8:27pm On Dec 20, 2006
I am so happy for Atiku,at least he is better than the sick looking Yar adua and also that zombie Goodluck,He is the only one that stands out from those weak presidential hopefuls that we have now,Atiku for President.

Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by Aggressa(m): 8:45pm On Dec 20, 2006
@All,
Well I looked at the poster of this thread i.e Atiku07, he gave his location as "Ibadan, ibi Ole ti gbe jare oloun". Well for those who dont understand Yoruba, the translation of this is: "Ibadan, where the 'thief' is declared innocent; while the 'owner/honest' is 'found' guilty."
So, now you can understand his support for, and celebration of, the looter of the year 2006.

Atiku will never never be president. In my own small way, I will work tireless at home and abroad to make sure he continues to be vilified and shown for the thief he is,

What legacy has he left after 8 years as VP, besides the much celebrated disloyalty and disrespect to his boss and pilfering of funds left, right and center. Rather than clear his name, he is looking for others to join issues with. OBJ will rather annull the election than allow this barawo misrule us for another 8 years. Incidentally, OBJ is saving the nation from itself, by eliminating the likes of Atiku.

He should pack up and retire to his mansion in Maryland (hasn'nt explained to us how he came about the billions of Naira he owns). At least, with OBJ, nothing is a secret. We all know where his farm is located.

The most off-putting thing about people like IBB and Atiku is the desperation in their bid to rule over us.

No sentiments guys, but just watching interviews of Atiku and IBB on TV upsets me. sad
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by BigB11(m): 10:05pm On Dec 20, 2006
Bravo to democracy in Nigeria.

It doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks; the cat has the right to contest.
It is now up to the great citizen of Nigeria to elect the right party for the position.

By the way FYI: it is very difficult to notice Atiku's accomplishment for the country, it is also difficult to be able to determine what he can do for Nigeria as the next president because OBJ is determined to sabotage his ambition (all because of 3rd term issue).
None of you guys wants to experience what Atiku went through working for a vindictive, greedy, stubborn, corrupt, unprofessional and childish boss.
It was very difficult for Atiku, but with all that atrocities he was calm, respectful and most of the time very professional dealing with the saga. One has to give him credit for being able to maintain; believe me, it wasn't easy.

FYI:Even though things weren't sweet and dandy between Atiku and his boss, but he was very present at Muyiwa's (OBJ's son) wedding and showed dedication and support for his boss's family during the ceremony.

That, to me, shows class and high standard.

Good luck to Atiku and I'm very happy for him, but IBB remains my man for the position.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by Roscodaddy(m): 10:16pm On Dec 20, 2006
What legacy is OBJ leaving us with, nothing except looting and a Gun after him, that farm that OBJ has,who gave him the the land, was it not stolen, well lt's us see how long OBJ will live.Bloody rogue.I will also work to ensure that I contribute to Atiku's campaign. You better cast your vote for a man who is not a coward and not a boot licker.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by joshO: 10:23pm On Dec 20, 2006
Wether we like it or not, the barton has been passed on to a new generation of achievers. I'm not holding brief for OBJ, but I don't have to target him as he will soon be gone. But he should take the likes of Atiku, IBB, Buhari with him. We need a fresh start.

The over-achievers in Obasanjo's term have been young dynamic people, with the likes of Soludo, El Rufai, Ribadu, Akinluyi typifying the sort of leadership we crave and will find in Yar'Adua.

Atiku has no credibility, no precedence of accomplishment of any kind, rather than the extreme politiking, grand manipulation and connivance he has become adept in.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by alabiyemmy(m): 10:29pm On Dec 20, 2006
@ Big B1

What point are you making? Point to me the virtue and vision of Atiku? Why will you want someone that is against you to succeed you? Say it was you, and you have a second in command who doesnt take to you, will you want him to succeed you, I suppose?

Obj has done alot for this country - debt forgiven and paid - refinery turn around maintenance - NEPA project under construction - Railway project comparable to those in the developed countries, telecommunications, etc - you cant sweep these under the carpet - like it or not, the man has acheivements, what other leader has taken the bold steps he took? Tell us? point them out as I have done, We sure want continuity, we dont want someone to come and put these away.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by Roscodaddy(m): 10:43pm On Dec 20, 2006
OBJ has done nothing, how can we have a man for eigth years and we do not have a full functional refinery, telecoms nko,you will say,Telecoms was brought by Abacha, debt forgiveness,OBJ was the one who started borrowing money,go back and check your history, after all the money that was used in repaying the loan belongs to all of us,he did not do us a favour by paying our debts, just imagine that you have a very rich uncle and none of his kids are  educated,he doesn't take care of them how would you feel, this is Nigeria for you,we are always told that we have 40 billions dollars in our foreign reserve yet we do not have full power supply, roads are bad, what is the use of the money in that account when a lot of people are suffering, infact right now there is no middle class, either you are rich or poor,no in between, guys forget this amala man OBJ.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by BigB11(m): 10:56pm On Dec 20, 2006
@ alabiyemmy

FYI: It was an agreement established few years ago between both parties (OBJ and Atiku), that Atiku was going to be contesting for the position at the end of their term. As usual, all of a sudden behind Atiku's back OBJ started preaching 3rd term implementation.
For the respect of democracy and professionalism, Mr Atiku should have been the first party to be informed about the implementation of the 3rd term.

Believe me, things should have been done differently and everyone knew it too, but folks were too scared to demur OBJ's decision.

I'm very disappointed that most guys in this room seems to be ignorance of the country present situation. probably sentimental has made some violated there sensibilities or the endemic level of poverty should be blame for this. this apparent situation is obvious, i see no reason atiku should be encourage for his imperfection, ptdf misappropriation and for people of his caliber to ignore all this criminal act and still prefer him to be the next president, what does that person think he is? a mad or what?

Even if Atiku did not achieve anything for past eight years. For being courageous enough to go against third term is enough for him. We need people that can challenge illegalities. That he is a VP does not mean he should allow his boss to perpetrate evil and ilegalities, by being loyal. Go and kill yourself, so that you will be loyal to me. OBJ is full of ilegalities.

Look at some of the governors, they were supporting thrid term, but immediately third term failed. they all declared interest in contesting. Only Orji Uzo Kalu was openly against third term. Odili that was singing third term declared for presidency immediately thrid term failed. Is it people that can not stand agaist illegality that you want.

Job is given to Job seekers and not those at home relaxing.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by atiku07(m): 9:47am On Dec 21, 2006
well to those who ingnorant of the emerging facts. Atiku is here to stay and by the way which of those misecrant fools (GOVERNORS) can stand the test of time and turbulence like Atiku. Let us be sincere with ourselves all these Governors are singing third term songs when OBJ was bent on ruining this nation with his crazy ambition. These largely shows that the so called governors have not got the balls to withstand intimidation of the highest order except (ORJI UZOR KALU).

These i will buttress my point that if u allow a dummy to rule over u even when countries like Zimbabwe, Sudan, Ghana say no u will always agree, but my dear brothers for a giant "NIGERIA" we need ppl who can stand the test of time forget about any manipulations with the ptdf or whatever we all know that is always the way of politics but i bet u this trend are to change on the emergence Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

I just want us to know that the presidency is bent on destroying his VP just because he is generally acceptable or why is that it is only those against the presidency that always face the wrath, well may God help my dear country. But i beileive the justice is near very near and not too far Atiku has got the balls to bring the change. I will like u all to take alook at his political CV (curiculum vitae) there u will know even b4 OBJ he has been a strong advocate of democracy and a very strong democrat.

AND THIS PIECE GOES TO ALL NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA WHEN THE GOING WAS TOUGH U ALL LEFT US WITH OUR FAITH SO WHY ARE U GUYS OPENING UR MOUTH FAR AND WIDE DESCRIMINATING, WHY CAN'T U GUYS JUST SUM UP COURAGE AND DEFEND UR OPPOSITION AGAINST HIM BY COMMING HOME TO ECERCISE UR CIVIC DUTIES OF WHICH I KNOW MOST OF U WILL NEVER DO CAUSE ATLEAST MOST OF U ARE LVING THERE ILLEGALLY "BUNCH OF ILLEGALITY TRYING TO MAKE THINGS LEGAL" WHAT AN IRONY? INSTEAD OF SITING DOWN OVER THERE RUBISHING THE EFFORT OF THE POOR GUYS HERE. MIND U WHEN U ARE SHOWN THE WAY OUT OF THERE THEN I WILL KNOW WHERE YA ALL WILL COME TO STAY

THIS ALSO GOES TO THOSE WHO ATTENDED THE AC CONVENTION YESTERDAY MAY ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS U WITH MERCIES AND THE TRUST U ALL HAVE IN ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR SHALL NEVER BE BETRAYED.

AND THESE GOES TO ALL THE DEMOCRATS LET GET OUR WAYS TOGETHER AND SAY NO TO THE "OPPORTUNISTIC CLIQUE" AS SAID BY HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA IN WAITNG ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR

GOD BLESS ATIKU ABUBAKAR
LONG LIVE NIGERIANS
LONG LIVE DEMOCRACY
LONG LIVE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by Abdblues(m): 10:48am On Dec 21, 2006
@ Atiku07 i just have a feeling that you are one of the politicians at the AC convention and you belong to the 'failed' generation, jus like your boss (Atiku) and his own boss too (Obasanjo). I beg to disagree with you, Atiku is most definitely not 'generally' acceptable!!!who would accept a thief? only other thiefs like him!Go and tell your boss that nigerians and particularly the youths are tired of the likes of him & obasanjo & IBB & Buhari, e.tc we want a new course to be charted for this country, we want a change, we deserve a change and Atiku is not the one that will bring that change. Atiku like his boss (Obasanjo) is a thief, he looks like a thief and his actually built like one too (Ole Nla). Yar'Adu is hardly the ideal candidate and PDP is hardly the ideal party but Atiku is a complete epitome of what a president should not be(again just like his boss!!!)
God forbid bad thing like somebody said.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by joshO: 11:12am On Dec 21, 2006
Why do people have to describe Atiku and IBB's opposition to Third Term as though it were a badge of honour. These rogues opposed third term only for two reasons -

1) To become President themselves (Extremely SELFISH)
2) A new mandate for OBJ would mean renewed anti-graft effort, which would have been the final nail in their coffins. They both would have ended up in jail if OBJ had another 4 yrs.

He would have got a little more respect had he given up his ambition after the 3rd term fiasco. Third term has become the only achievement he can boast off.

I want him to know he has done us no favours. But being as gullible as ever, we're buying Atiku's propaganda hook, line and sinker. But I won't be fooled.

Atiku is going nowhere. He is a major league thief. Mastermind of the rigging in the 2003 elections. HE WILL NEVER WIN. A new, more purposeful generation will emerge.

"Atiku is going nowhere. He is a major league thief. Mastermind of the rigging in the 2003 elections. HE WILL NEVER WIN. A new, more purposeful generation will emerge. "

So at least u have agreed that OBJ and Atiku rigged the 2003 presidential polls. lol na wah ohhh why crusifying the guy at least he has shown that he is a democrat by stoping that old outdated baboon from getting a 3rd term . am not insupprot of atiku at all he deserves to  be in prison for real for all his theft, but OBJ that is always trying to show atiku is a thief is a worse thief. stupid ,old ,ugly, outdated and backward thinking nonsense.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by joshO: 12:36pm On Dec 21, 2006
Sure, PDP did ochestrate electoral fraud  in 2003, masterminded by the likes of Atiku, Audu Ogbeh, Tony Anenih etc. That is fact. OBJ was literally installed by them as he had significantly less political leverage.

I'm, not bothered as much by OBJ,  as in 4 - 5 months he'll be consigned to history.

But as Atiku seeks to represent our future, I have a major issue with his ambition.

That agbada wearing normad seeks to turn the presidency into a flamboyant circus. My opinion of him is based on what I know. Don't ask me how, but I'm in a position to comment on him. At this point in our history, we need  prudent, conservative leadership, not the ostentatious waste that Atiku represents.

By any means necessary, this barawo will be stopped. Dan buru-uba!!
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by DRANOEL(m): 3:33pm On Dec 21, 2006
i rather go with atiku than the sick looking puppet called yar adua or the islamist called buhari

p.s ken nnamani is going to be atiku's running mate
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by alabiyemmy(m): 4:07pm On Dec 21, 2006
@ ALL

Suddenly Atiku is exonorated from the same government that you people talk so badly about, as if he had not been in the same government all along?

He fell out with the President because of his lust for power - hence he opposed the third term, he had been part and parcel of the same government, so for him to suddenly be orchestrated as a saint is nothing but arrant nonsence.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Emerged Ac Presidential Aspirant by scribe(m): 5:33pm On Dec 21, 2006
God forbid that Atiku or any of those old politician should be Nigeria's next president. Enough is enough of the looting.

How can a man that partook of a meal turn round when the bowl is almost empty to start preaching that it is stolen meal. If he so claim, then he must be a criminal with double award.

1. First award - because he confessed that he has just partook of a stolen meal.

2. Second award - A criminal because he is a traitor to the other thieves.

I pray and look forward to a day when people of integrity like Mrs. Akinyuli of NAFDAC will rule this nation.

God Bless Nigeria.
May the Lord help us get rid of all pen robbers, looters e.t.c. just like he removed Abacha from our political life. cool
