Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has accused the administration of former Governor of Edo State, Mr Lucky Igbinedion of diverting N4 billion bank loan.

Oshiomhole, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Okhiria responding to comments made by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the debt profile of Edo State, said, “We make bold to state, and the facts are clear, that in spite of earning the highest revenues from the Federation Account, the PDP states in the South-South region are the most indebted in the region and not Edo State.

“The domestic debt profile released by the DMO as at December 31, 2015, the last time it was issued, lists Delta State as having a debt profile of N320,605 billion; Akwa Ibom had N147,575 billion; Cross River: N115,522 billion; Rivers, N134,9566 billion; Bayelsa N103,374 billion as against Edo which had a far lower profile.

While the other South-South PDP States have continued to amass domestic debts with high-interest rates, Edo is close to completely liquidating its domestic debt. “While Ize-Iyamu continues to peddle his falsehood, we have the record of the N4 billion borrowed by the PDP government of Mr Lucky Igbinedion, with the knowledge of Osagie Ize-Iyamu as Secretary to State Government from Guaranty Trust Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank and paid to an address in Lagos. “Edo people are not deceived. They know that the PDP and its sympathisers have a record of borrowing to steal and not the APC government led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. “Our records are open and we run a transparent government. No amount of planted or concocted stories by hack writers will distort the facts.”

Osho, na so? All these talks re too petty, anyway they know where they will still meet at the end of d day, it's just the masses that re hoodwinked.

I am not even seeing anyone worthy between the two main contenders to occupy the state house reason being that the Igbinideons r d one backing Iyamu, a claim that Iyamu hasn't denied, so that they can ve unfettered access to the state treasury once again and on the other hand Osho is campaigning like he is d one contesting,I don't even think he campaigned this hard wen he was seeking a second term some years ago.

His desperation to foist his puppet on the people of Edo state confirms the claim in some quarters that he is trying to cover his tracks well hence the need for Obaseki to take over from him because he thinks Obaseki won't rock the boat if he gets on the seat.

It was this same Osho who claimed that "Godfatherism" was dead nd buried in Edo state, I guess he is trying to "resurrect" it again.

Believing and fighting on behalf of all these politicians is just crazy and plain stupid of those who indulge in the act. .

You just spoke my mind, these politicians are our common and collective enemies. None of them is there to serve their people or the country but their pockets, interest and their kids.

Politicians= bunch of selfish, greedy and heartless set of evil people.

Oshomhole the man with mouth diarrhoea! If Lucky and Iyamu diverted 4 billion naira as you alleged, what did you do to make them refund the money. Nothing, because it was used for your 2007 election? Oshomhole, tell us another story! You have deceived Edo people enough!
