@GAZZUZZ i would need your expert advise and also form the house.. My Toyota Corolla 1.8 GLi i have noticed that somehow its fuel consumption has increase somewhat. I have watched some nice videos on youtube and am certain i want to this injector servicing. Am currently in PH and I would like to know the best FUEL INJECTOR CLEANERS i could buy and so this servicing... However there is no delay in my acceleration and i would probably change my air cleaner. Guys whom have done this please share your experiences.. Thanks |

snipesdam:Don't waste your money to buy any injector cleaner until u have actually ascertain the reason behind the high fuel consumption. Take your car to a competent technician that run test with autodiagnotics tools and can perform analyses based on the the result of the test . |

honmusa: I diagnosed my car today... Everything checks out OK... So I bought/Replacement air cleaner and fueled up my tank mixed with injector cleaner... Taken note of ODO. Am going to drive it till goes amber, I'll do the calculations and I'll get back to you guys. |

snipesdam:What parameter what use to confirm the car is ok by the diagnostics guy ? If the diagnostics guy is relying on diagnostics DTC code then u just wasted money to pay his fee.Look for professional that know how to analyse pid live data. 1 Like 1 Share |

mayor2013: ok we learn everyday,......... i am against the usual so called injector servicing performed by the road side mechanics, total waste of money!. good you hv acquired the right tools for the servicing of injectors, the ultrasonic tool. kudos...keep it up. this fuel guzzling issue, most nigerians dont really have concrete data to show this fuel guzzling, they usually say i drive a full tank for 3wks, now its now 2wks, forgetting all the other factors that may affect fuel consumption. i usually benchmark my fuel consumption with the manufacturers data and real world data from actual users from forum members across the world, ie highway miles, say the 2nd gen rav4, in the usa people get btw 250 to 300 highway miles per tank, so if i get something close to that, i assume my car is ok etc |

mayor2013: All your ideas are okay... But please don't presume for sure that my injectors are failing, Because they are not neither will i tolerate someone loosening them to check. Other factors could cause the mileage loss which is a bit different from the manufacturer's design. My engine is suppose to give me 8 litres per 100 kilometres. Last i did the calculation its was 10 litres per 100 kilometres. I had a very dirty air-cleaner which i replaced and injector cleaner mixed with a full tank. Since Saturday of doing this i have noticed a difference. All the same contact which you provide is in Lagos am PortHarcourt. 1 Like

toyomars:Since you confirmed that this issue happen after the servicing of the injector ,then check the injector connectors it they are not connected properly and if connected properly ,check the injector control ground signal to each of the injectors, use a test light to confirm this. |
